Ariel Helwani just tweeted that he was kicked out of the arena before the main event. Guessing because he broke the Lesner story early in the day.

Brock just announced on SportsCenter that he'll fight Mark Hunt.
Brock referred to himself as the "modern day Bo Jackson".

Brock is flat out lying. Hannah Storm asked him about the Ariel Helwani stuff & he said he doesn't know who that is. Which is a lie. Ariel is one of the very few who has interviewed Brock in the past. Multiple times.
Makes me wonder if Brock was the one who was the most pissed about Ariel leaking the info & complained to Dana about it?

I doubt it.
I don't think Brock cares about that kind of stuff.
Dana is very much like Vince though, so I see it as him pitching a fit.

Oh I absolutely know Dana strongly dislikes Ariel, even Helwani said that Dana told him at the PPV Saturday "Go cover Bellator, we don't want you here." He's a whiny bitch about certain things.
But Brock saying he doesn't know who he is, is pretty strange. I know Brock shuts himself off from media, but Ariel is the most respected MMA journalist there is (contrary to what Dana thinks). And he's one of the few he's given time too in the past. Seemed like an odd answer.

Dave Scholer, the guy Dana sent to the presser Saturday night, talked to one of the LA papers after the presser Saturday night. He said that Ariel didn't contact the UFC before reporting the story. Then he said Brock contacted Dana and was pissed that it was out. To the point I guess that Dana was telling all the suits that it could cause the deal to fall apart. So it was indeed Brock. I thought it was hilarious that he was saying he had never heard of him.

They have always had a rocky relationship. Dana would always give him one on one interviews for his website, but Ariel was always the 1 reporter that would ask tough questions at the pressers. I thought it was a bitch move when they fired Ariel from FS1 a month or 2 ago. Just because he interviewed a fighter and asked him about free agency. Every sport has free agency, don't be so thin skinned about shit. The UFC is heading to a dangerous area. They are going to be all yes men on the FS1 shows. They always bring in fighters to do studio work, and they are all buddies. I think Joe Rogan is on his way out. Hell, he had no clue about the Lesner news, so I think that was sign he has lost his spot with the suits.

Yeah, I got a feeling this ends badly for Brock. This could be Overreem bad, unless he is able to get some takedowns. Brock had a shit chin, and couldn't take many shots. Hunt will be throwing bombs.

Rogan's been hinting he's looking to be done for a while. When the talk of new ownership happened a month ago, Rogan made it known if Lorenzo, Frank & Dana are out, then he's gone too. It just seems like he's getting burnt out from it. Which, I honestly don't blame him. He's been doing it since nearly the beginning. I think it was UFC 12 when he started?
Also I think Dana dislikes Ariel because there are many times when Ariel is more over than some of the fighters with fans at pressers & Dana is an egomaniac. He wants to keep important info with him, so that way journalists have to go to him & not the fighters. He loves the attention, he eats that shit up.
Oddly enough, last year, when I met Ariel in Vegas, I talked to him about how much I loved his interview with Heyman & we briefly talked about Brock. He was awesome.

It's weird the WWE would let him do this.
Brock wins. He gets that itch even more, will want to fight more & WWE loses him, or uses him even less than they do now. Brock loses. It makes him look like going back to WWE is a step down.
What is WWE getting out of this?

I think the Rousey trade deal just took place.
WWE gets more coverage of one of its top stars that can only be seen in the WWE network. Wins and losses don't matter folks. UFC loss means the same as a WWE loss in Vince's mind.

I'm listening to the Ariel Helwani MMA Hour that was live just a few hours ago. He said he asked some people about what Brock said on SportsCenter this morning about not knowing who he was & said it's just Brock being Brock. He asked if Brock was truly upset about the news & he was told by multiple people that nothing could be further from the truth. Brock is getting paid no matter what.
So take that for what it's worth. Ariel seems truly betrayed/heartbroken by what happened. He gets choked up pretty early talking about it. He seems to indicate it was more Lorenzo Fertitta who wanted Ariel thrown out. Lorenzo was apparently the one who got Ariel fired from Fox Sports 1 & UFC Tonight too. Dana was just respecting his partner's wishes & throwing Ariel out.
I'm only 25 minutes into this show. Anything else major happens, I'll post it, but thus far this has made me an even bigger Ariel fan.

UFC loss means the same as a WWE loss in Vince's mind. She'd gain more in the WWE than the UFC to be honest. She comes back to fight & loses again, she loses a TON of her popularity even more. She loses in WWE, it's scripted, so who gives a shit. Sure she'd have to deal with the assholes going "oh you lost in the UFC, now you're in the WWE" but you'll get that regardless.
I always go back to the Punk podcast with Cabana when they talked about why Vince wouldn't let Punk walk to the cage with Chael in Chicago "someone's going to die out there!" Vince is just as much out of touch in other sports as he is with pro wrestling.

2nd hour is more intense than the 1st. He goes into major detail about his past issues with UFC. Even dropping a "pipe bomb" and saying that on one occasion "it got physical"
Very interested into knowing more about that. Dana smacked him around?

Ariel was just on Sports Center, and it sounds like they gave him his credential back. After listening to his show today, the UFC looks even worse. Lorenzo and Dana are 2 asswipes. Dana has always come off as that, but it looks even worse now.

Brock & Paul E. talk about everything that's been going on.
Also in regards to Ariel, his whole show was eye opening. I know it's just one persons side of the story, but I have a hard time imagining he's lying about any of this. He had nothing to lose, might as well let everyone know the truth.
Also didn't make Ronda Rousey look good either. She cold shouldered him after one of his colleagues asked her about Travis Browne in an interview, after Travis & Ariel had a brief talk about it on the MMA Hour (to which Travis got permission from Ronda to talk about it on the show prior to him doing it, WHIPPPPPPPPED), but after she was asked, she wouldn't talk to Ariel & refused to do an interview with him. Love Ronda, but she seems just as petty as the rest.

Keep it up Brock.
Brock Lesnar: 'I don't give a [expletive]' if UFC 200 fight affects WWE standing By Damon Martin @damonmartin Jun 30, 2016 at 6:45p ET
Brock Lesnar might be the biggest star on the WWE roster, but he really doesn't care how the promotion or fans of professional wrestling feel about his upcoming fight at UFC 200.
Lesnar had to receive permission from the WWE to fight July 9 due to his exclusive contract with the professional wrestling promotion, but outside of that, he's not focused on anything regarding his day job ahead of his return to the Octagon.
Lesnar is scheduled to return to WWE a month after UFC 200 to perform at SummerSlam, but he's not worried about that appearance right now. In fact, Lesnar gave a rather blunt answer when asked if he believes his WWE popularity might take a hit if things don't go his way against Mark Hunt.
"I really don't give a s--t," Lesnar said during a media conference call Thursday.
Expanding on that answer, Lesnar spoke about the recognition he gets as a wrestler versus being a fighter and how he would prefer to be remembered when his career is over.
Lesnar says it doesn't matter to him how fans perceive him as a performer or a mixed martial artist, the same way he doesn't care what anybody thinks about his fight at UFC 200.
"Honestly, I really don't care. This isn't about my fans. This is about me living my life, being the person I want to be," Lesnar said. "Granted, without the fans and everything, none of us would be able to do this, I get that."
Lesnar said the same thing when reacting to recent comments from WWE chief brand officer Stephanie McMahon, who said that the organization wasn't "necessarily" supporting his fight at UFC 200 from a promotional standpoint.
But I don't sit up at night wondering 'is my drawing power going to be hurt or are WWE fans going to tune into watch me do this?'. I don't give two s--ts about that. This is about me. I want to get in there and be an athlete again. That's what it's about.
"I don't know. I don't care what she says," Lesnar said about McMahon.
All Lesnar cares about right now is fighting at UFC 200, beating Mark Hunt and then he'll deal with everything else afterwards.
That includes a decision on whether or not he'll fight again.
"I don't know," Lesnar said about fighting after UFC 200. "I feel really good. Training camp is going great. I'm happy. I'm happy with my life. I'm happy with everything. Yes, since I left the Octagon after I got beat by (Alistair) Overeem and kind of forced out of the cage because of my illness, it haunted me for a long time.
"Here I am and before it's too late, I want to get back in the cage and have some fun with it. This is all about having fun. I'm not looking past this fight. I'm just taking one day at a time. One training session at a time. Looking forward to July 9. I'm grateful that Mark Hunt took the fight, it was short notice for me and him so we'll see what happens on the 9th."
