Dana said instead of having someone who doesn't deserve a fight against DC filling in last second, he'd rather DC not fight.
He said Jones could very well get a 2 year suspension if found guilty.
He said luckily this happened on the biggest show of the year & the rest of the card is stacked, so they'll just shift a match up.
Hunt vs Brock will still be 3 rounds.

I'd agree with you on any other circumstance, but this could be the most loaded card ever. Granted it could've been bigger in terms of main card, but still, it's very impressive.
Hunt/Brock, Miesha/Nunes, Edgar/Aldo, Cain/Browne, Zingano/Pena, Hendricks/Gastelum, Dillashaw/Assuncao, Diego/Lauzon, Miller/Gomi
It's loaded, but I think the MSG debut will be bigger.

I remember 100 and it seemed like it was so much bigger.
Not having your 2 biggest draws on 200 hurts as well.

Bad thing (or good thing in hindsight) is with the new anti-doping policy, I bet there's going to be more people getting hit.
I'm over the Jones/DC feud now. DC isn't getting any younger, have him feud or fight a guy who you know is reliable.

He can't test positive because he got an exemption for pre-fight drug tests, which is absolute bullshit. That seems to have gone completely under the radar. It's not right at all. By that case, Hunt should be allowed to juice before the fight. However, I think both guys will test post fight. Not that it makes it any more right with the Brock situation.
There's a Lightweight title fight on a Fight Pass card tomorrow that will get zero coverage. Even if Eddie Alvarez beats RDA. Also the women fight on live TV during the TUF finale Friday. Joanna Champion defends her title against Claudia. All those are going completely ignored.

Wait, that's a thing? "I'll fight, but no drug test like everyone else!"

Couple guys already stepped up to take the fight, even Bisping. Rumor before I went to bed was that DC accepted a fight at heavyweight, but haven't seen anything on it. Maybe they announce something this morning when Jones speaks.

Interesting fight that DC can't lose. Silva coming in on short notice, and just had surgery a few weeks ago. I'm a huge Silva fan, but got a bad feeling about this. DC either knocks him out or just wrestles his ass. Nice to see him step up and offer to fight, just don't think it was smart.

Tate vs Nunes is now the main event. Dana said it was the right thing to do & I disagree. Miesha Tate is not a proven main event draw. Ronda Rousey was the draw when they fought in the UFC. Nothing against Amanda Nunes, I really enjoy her as a fighter & really hope she beats Miesha tomorrow, but she's not a proven draw either.
I know UFC 200 itself is the draw, but I don't think Tate/Nunes should be the main event. It's not the kind of main event you want for arguably the biggest show ever. Brock Lesnar is a main event draw. That should be the main event. DC/Jones I understand the placement, they were forced to work Jones dicking them over.
Yes Miesha is the champ, yes for the most part her division draws, but the fights not involving Rousey haven't drawn that well (Tate/Holm was headlined by Conor/Diaz). For this being a "larger than life" PPV card, it should be headlined by Brock, despite this possibly being his only time fighting again in the UFC.

I think this is a huge mistake and he's going to get embarrassed. It pains me to say this. I appreciate him wanting to help out ($$$ doesn't hurt either) but this will be bad. I don't want to remember these fights. He was, in my opinion, the most dominant fighter in the history of the sport for a nice span there. Untouchable at times. The last few years is ruining the image of what I used to love.

Couldn't agree with you more Woodridge. While I was more partial to the Miletich fighters because they're from the Quad Cities (Robbie Lawler is still my boy), I was always drawn to the showmanship of Silva. He was incredibly confident & cocky, but he went out there & fucked guys up. To the point where it got boring for him, so he turned into an arrogant dick in the cage (ie Demian Maia fight). The last 4 years (4 years, I can't believe that) have been filled with disappointing losses (the 1st Weidman loss), gruesome injuries (the 2nd Weidman fight) & popped for steroids (Diaz fight). His last fight with Bisping was a very entertaining fight that he could've (some think should've) won. However the days of him dominating are LONG gone & that's a bummer.
It's an odd comparison, but Ric Flair I wouldn't say tarnished his career during his last run, but aside from a handful of matches, you will never remember him for the latter part of his career. It'll always be when he was the best in the business.
Same goes for Silva. I'll remember his career destroying Rich Franklin, Travis Lutter, Dan Henderson, Cote, demolishing Forrest, the Sonnen feud.

Debating if I should order this or go out and watch. Having a hard time justifying $60 either way...

Streams are getting sophisticated - won't let me watch with AdBlockPlus extension installed. Not worth the malware infection - will have to read about it tomorrow.

I'm pissed at this fucking crowd. What did they expect in this Silva/DC fight? Silva was going to gas quick on 2 days notice & when you have a 205 heavyweight laying on you, not much will happen.
It's smart for DC, why would he trade with one of the greatest of all time?
I know it's not popular, but people should be happy to see DC & Silva fight at all considering what happened.

Brock won 1st with takedowns. Hunt won close 2nd. Lack of action, but Hunt connected more. Brock demolished him in the 3rd. Smothered him for a majority of the round.
Brock via decision.
