Figured I could use all the advice from some experienced fathers on this board so started a thread for questions, ideas, tips, celebrations, frustrations, etc.
I’m just over three months in now. Exhausted more than I ever could have imagined. More pure joy from one soul more than I could have ever imagined.
So much time disappears due to baby play and duties. My question is did any of you start outsourcing anything? House cleaning? Yard work? Part-time nanny? It just seems like every day ends with a million things to do still. This is just the reality of my new life, isn’t it? Haha!

I did outsource yard work, but yeah you do end up exhausted for about 5 years.
And congratulations if I didn't say that already!

Congrats indeed WR.
We personally didn't outsource. We just did everything in shifts to keep us both from going insane.
Eventually you'll look back on this time and realize just how brief it is. It really goes by in a flash.
One day you're celebrating the White Sox 2005 World Series win with your 3-month old sitting on the couch. Next thing you know it's 2023 and he's 17 with a driver's license.

You will sleep again one day - promise! And then you forget about the not sleeping part and have another one and smack yourself for not remembering that you didn't sleep for 6 months. I didn't get fooled twice After our second we did hire a cleaning lady to help with the upkeep. She would come every other week. Definitely helps. And like Kid said, they grow up so fast. Mine are now 15 and 11.

I don't know if this is a possibility for you but utilizing grandparents is usually a pretty great idea.

Been nice for us. We were getting a once a week Nana visits for four hours. We either sleep or work in shit we just haven’t had the time to do.
