Good call on the thread, Greg.
Had my 1st Sidekick the other night. I don't like IPA's but that was damn tasty.

I made the mistake of breaking my "pumpkin flavored things are awful" rule and had a pumpkin beer last night. Was in a rush to order and got Shipyard Pumpkinhead. I did not like it at all. Tasted very fake.

Not a fan of pumpkin or spiced beers at all. I get why some people like them but I would rather drink water. I will say Louisiana beer scene is very lacking. Only a handful of local breweries (NOLA, Abita, Tin Roof) and not much else. BJs has a chain here that I went to today but quality severely lacking. They don't even brew onsite, its all shipped from Houston.

I just looked it up, you are right. No wonder I liked it. I just can't drink the IPA's.

Had a bottle of Two Brothers Tangent tonight. Reviews weren't real good but I liked it. Kind of a scaled back brown sour.

Had a Bricktoberfest from Brickstone the other day... it was a perfectly decent beer. Small brewery/restaurant out of Bourbonnais.

Kirkwood and Jackref....try a KBC Pumpkin Ale from Trader Joes. I'm not a fan of the style at all but this is good. No overkill on the spices and it has a good cinnamon/pumpkin taste. Plus it's only a buck a bottle. Their blueberry ale is good too.

For those of you fortunate enough to have had Lunch before, Maine Beer Company begins its distribution to Binny's this Friday. Lunch is so damn good.

I'm not familiar with that term. i'm sorry. Redstorm Pale Ale. I know ZD is basically an IPA, but I'm going off the BA classification of APA. Beer Advocate is life.
