Somehow I got on the old board today on the Dark Knight Rises thread. I have no clue how I got there quite honestly. I think I initially hopped over to check out the Dan McNeil reaction. Anywho, I was shocked to see how many of you thought The Dark Knight Rises was an awesome movie. I thought it was one of Nolan's worst films. Its a complete disaster and is overflowing with plotholes. It was not up to Nolan's standards by any stretch. It seemed rushed, sloppy and half-assed. Really surprised everyone came away on this board thinking it was almost as good as the other two. It was a gigantic mess of a movie. That is all.

It was a great movie more for Heath Ledger's Joker than anything else. I'm a comic movie mark though so I think most comic book movies are at least decent.
Except Green Lantern. And the Wolverine spinoff.
Burn in hell Ryan Reynolds! You ruined Green Lantern and Deadpool!

Wait you're talking about the 3rd one.
Scratch what I said earlier.
It lost some luster after the first viewing.
Still better than Wolverine or Green Lantern.

Yea, the third one. I'm a huge Batman and Christopher Nolan fan. I can't believe how sloppy of a film that was. It was kind of embarrassing.

I'd be interested in specifically what was incredible about the third one.

I'd be interested in specifically what was incredible about the third one. Of all the things I've been passionate about today, can I get back to you on this one tomorrow?

I'd be interested in specifically what was incredible about the third one. The swerve with Talia Al Ghul. For those that didn't know about the storyline in the comics that was a huge holy shit moment. They put the clues there and built it perfectly. Also Anne Hathaway in a leathersuit on a motorcycle was pretty damn incredible My biggest gripe was that it took Gordon so damn long to figure out who Batman was - ace detective now commissioner couldn't put the pieces together in over a decade, yet noob beat cop can do it in a week. It was definitely the weakest of the 3 but still an entertaining movie. For me the first one is still by far the best. The second one loses too many points for having that hideous basset hound Maggie Gyllenhallllljfsijhgfghsdgh in it. If it wasn't for Ledger's awesome Joker the movie would have been pretty bad. And Green Lantern sucks in general. Ryan Reynolds will be perfect as Deadpool.
