I fizzled out towards the end.
Thanks for running this Coast. Kept interest all through the fall and into the winter.

The Hawgs are bringing home the bacon.
Congrats to Piglet on the championship. 59.2% on 113 picks is strong work!
And a perfect finish by Hawg with two winning doubleshots he saved for the last day wins 2nd.
It's ok Kirkwood. Doesn't matter you had no picks. Hawg won 5 units today. 4-0 would not have gotten you there.
Thanks everyone for playing. Final standings tomorrow.

Glad to know the US Postal Service is so efficient.
I do not know yet if I will take a side on the game or for how much. However, I have begun betting it. When the line opened at pick, I bought 4 units on New England because I expected the line to move the Pats' way. Why? Because of the way the games played out...Pats won big, while the Seahawks had no business winning, but took advantage of McCarthy's now legendary stupidity to win a game Green Bay would have won had they not had a mental midget on the sidelines. Sure enough, Pats are the public play, now up to 1.5 and climbing.
My numbers make Seahawks -2, so if I can get Seahawks at +2,5 or 3, I will likely go into the game with a Pats pick, Hawks + middle. Normally under such situations I would go heavy on the value side. Which side, if any I have more on this game will depend on my full handicap of the game. I have not capped the game yet, but will this weekend.
I usually play a handful of props and likely will live bet the game. I have one prop so far: LaGarrette Blount MVP at 12-1. It is a long shot, but I was impressed with how he ran vs. Indy. All of the other logical picks for MVP were low odds...he was the only one who is going to touch the ball 10+ times at more than 4-1. As other props come out,I will study them and let you know what I see.
More this weekend.

You disagree that his conservative play calling cost them the game?

You disagree that his conservative play calling cost them the game? I don't know if it was that conservative, if you have watched this team all year their struggles from inside the 5 in the red zone have been epic. As far as throwing the ball late in the game, Rodgers wasn't all that great on Sunday. Yes I am ok with the fame plan, it was damn good for 56 minutes.

I guess we define "conservative" differently. And I don't agree the game plan was good at all. They were ahead for 56 minutes because Seattle gave them early turnovers, good field position and was inept itself. But what did GB do with the gifts? They sat on it most of the day. They ran the ball and tried to eat up 2.5 quarters of clock. They were just 3 of 14 on third downs with a veteran Hall of Fame QB. But it wasn't his fault, because McCarthy ran about 75% of the time from late third quarter until losing their lead. Green Bay didn’t put up much of a fight when Seattle cut 19-7 to 19-14, apparently assuming their advantage would be safe. Looked to me like he held his team back all day.
Really, you didn't watch the game and say "what the heck is he doing running the ball so much"? I don't think he played to win. He got a lead, then played not to lose.

Running the ball in that game was fine. Not running any play action off of that running once they started to load the box was a severe oversight by MM. I realize Rodgers wasn't the most mobile guy but he could have done some play action and been alright. It was there...it was so there and he just would not call it.

Excellent. Your contest was a great forum for KS to visibly post his picks. Those picks greatly helped in paying for my European vacation.
