I keep scrolling to the bottom just so I can use that newfangled arrow button on the right of the screen.

Agreed. Bulls chat, next Thursday. Also for any future Old School Saturday Nights. Only my opinion, but I like the threads for OSSN because I can go back to it if I miss it or fall asleep (cuz I'm old, and maybe drunk) I agree.

I've never messed with a free forum like this before, but almost a decade ago I was an admin on a couple of gaming boards. If you need any back-end help (hi cookie), give me a holler and I may be able to help.
I know HTML and phpBB decently enough, and could probably figure this out.

Not so much a technical one......but how does a place like proboards make money? Supposedly there's banner ads but I have yet to see them. From everything I've read, the bandwidth/storage is free and unlimited. Is it just the traffic we generate that helps them in some way? We're now getting about 10,000 page views per day.

From everything I've read, the bandwidth/storage is free and unlimited. Is it just the traffic we generate that helps them in some way? We're now getting about 10,000 page views per day. They make money by licensing more expensive, but convenient, domain names. Since they do all the work, they charge extra money. I cannot stress how little data and bandwidth a forum takes up. If the forum doesn't host any images or videos (besides avatars), there is so little data transfer it is ridiculous. Open up a word document and type a 20 page paper. Save it as text. Look at the size of file. It is pathetic. Every time bagman brought this up, it took everything in my power to not call him a straight up liar. I was running a 20-person counter-strike gaming server throughout 2012...you can imagine a gaming server would take up a ton more data... I was paying $14.90 a month, after some small discounts. No bandwidth limits...I did own a separate shared web host server at $6.00 a month as well, to host images and MOTD html files that the server used for daily messages and what have you. I imagine a message board with the size and activity of CSFMB could easily fit on a $10.00 a month webhost. With plenty of bandwidth to spare.

Negative. Randy baby...think Austin Powers. Get all hot and bothered and not participate... Did I break a rule by explaining what the hell I was trying to say? Or was that just a bad reference that required explanation? Either way, that was the attempt.

So how would it have anything to do with not participating? WZ, your thoughts? Maybe I misunderstood.

However, I was applying the quote to being randy and wanting to get in on the posting action. Not the schusting action in this case. So the word was used in a similar context, but not the actual context it would normally be used. It didn't work God dammit. McCracken and his grammatical ways is going to be along soon and bring the whooping stick.

You made us all think about being Randy and Austin Powers (not at the same time, of course), both positives. I'd say you did well

Actually, my dumb ass was trying to make a joke, albeit a bad one, off of your original joke. I believe the kids call that "fail".

Yeah, I need that ruling. There is a funny meter that must be met, and I did not quite get it to the level that could be parodied or even understood. Then I went to extreme lengths to explain thyself.
In some circles, that means reduction in rank. Dammit. Back to Partial Member again.

Is there a way to show the Section that each thread is in on the Recent Threads page?

Additionally: "ProBoards also has an agreement with a third party chatroom provider, addonInteractive, to provide Java-based chatrooms to users. Each forum admin can activate a free version of the chat on their forum, with paid upgrades available for busy forums. The chats integrate fully with forum accounts." And: "ProBoards users are bound by a number of Terms of Service, restricting the type of content which may appear on a ProBoards forum. ProBoards prohibits illegal or adult content. Formerly, only English forums were allowed, but in May 2010 this policy was changed, allowing boards to be created in any language. In addition to content policies Proboards terms also seemingly prohibit the use of "ad-blocking" technology when accessing its services."
