My 10 year wedding anniversary tomorrow. I have no idea what to get my wonderful wife. HALP! They say it is the traditional "tin or aluminum" gift year. Or diamonds for more modern gift. No and no.

Hire dougref to be in house sit and be in charge of child care and take her on a trip somewhere where there is interesting stuff for both of you to do, a spa day for her and a brewery for you to go to that day. Go to Nor Cal.
Its our 5th anniversary this year and we are going to bar hop at water street and then go to an Admirals game.

I have had two ten year anniversaries so I do have some experience at this.
The first one I bought her something. Whatever it was, probably some jewelry, it was forgettable. As was that marriage.
The second time I took her somewhere --to a place we had never been. That worked out much better. She still talks about it. We probably won't ever go there again, making it even more memorable.

All of you. Good stuff. We are going to do a weekend trip but just not this weekend. She has an interview Friday in STL for a job in Raleigh. If she nails that then we will be moving probably before end of the year. Plenty of good weekend opportunities out in that neck of the nape.
