The Big Unit will get to the bottom of what is happening with the HC position at UW. Maybe he will apply to coach the bowl game. C&W seem to be happy that Anderson is gone.
Are the Brewers even present at the winter meetings? They haven't uttered a sound there the rule 5 draft could be their super bowl so stay tuned. I can't wait to see a completely out of his element pitcher forced onto the roster during a playoff caliber season again.
We also need a Packer health update. House and Lattimore missed practice and Lacy was limited yesterday.

Wickett wants Alvarez to lower the academic standards and to open the vault up to pay for a championship caliber coach and coaching staff. I think he is crazy. While I have never been a huge UW fan I have always enjoyed watching them. I don't care if they aren't in the National Championship game. Its not like they suck though...they are a top 25 team every year and usually between 15-20. I don't want to let a bunch of dipshits onto the team just to win. Don't become Ohio State.

C&W are inviting the racist flood gates to open. Wickett mocking the academic abilities of all of the good UW players while having no actual knowledge of what their grades are. Now a caller doesn't want an ebonics filled post game interview.

Now a caller wants Pellini. No chance in hell his god awful defense is welcomed by Alvarez. Look at the yardages the "blackshirts" gave up to opposing teams with a decent run game.

I think he really micro manages the football team and the coaches get tired of it. No different than when Frank Broyles was the AD at Arkansas.

He will be 68 when he leads them on to the field vs Auburn. The only older coach that is notable is Spurrier who is going to be 70!!!
Administrators make better athletic directors than coaches IMO.

AD'S that have turned around programs are great for the schools. But they make it very hard on future coaches. Arkansas fans were very happy when Broyles stepped aside but still love him for what he did with the program.

It really is quite a mystery. Why did Andersen leave?
A. Family - wanted to return to the West Coast B. Academic Standards - 2nd highest in the nation to Stanford C. Forced Out - on the down low by Barry D. Disgusted - with Barry for meddling

I mostly agree but if that was the case what better way for Barry not to look like the "bad guy" but to "act" surprised? Just kinda threw that one in there. Definitely the most unlikely of the 4.

There are probably components of all 4 options in play with the exception of C which would be hard to know or prove. He was a weird fit for sure.
Barry might want to put massive buyout clauses in his future contracts.
I think Doeren is the guy over Chryst.

Isn't Chryst like 18-18 with Pittsburgh? Just don't understand the excitement about that guy.

19-19. Doeren has been pretty bad with NC State like 10-14 but he was magnificent with NIU. I don't think he had a shot from the start in the ACC with that team.

That is pretty shady of him. He should have purchased 118k worth of fan buses and hotel rooms for the student fans not give himself a holiday bonus.

Brad Evans @yahoonoise 9s9 seconds ago Growing concern for Eddie Lacy. Reportedly did "little to nothing" in practice today. Tomorrow crucial. More Starks in Buffalo? Possible.

Wonder what kind of pool of money he has to pay his assistants

The Mule is breaking it down. Seems to be saying that Academic Standards were the biggest problem that Andersen had with Wisconsin.
And Spark-dawg is off until next Thursday.
