The Unit is going to be getting to the bottom of this arena proposal. Kays says he is setting his alarm to tune in. Whomever the cat is that said this proposal will stand no chance of passing is on today and I think someone from the city is going to be on. This has the potential to be very interesting.

They are breaking down x's and o's basketball for once!!! This I can listen to. Apparently they are ripping Knight for having the 3rd worst assist to turnover ratio......the worst in the league is of course god awful human vagina D Rose. I don't get how Rose has any fans left. His game now matches his heart.

Lefty is going to get to throw to a kid from my HS next year. I didn't realize until yesterday that 2 kids off the year before lasts team went on to St. Cloud.

The Unit is going around the NFC North. Detroit is already done. ZZ may very well be during your break. There is no reason for this entire segment. I do not care about the NFC north opponents today.

Political/Arena talk. This guy is say no chance in hell this thing passes. Hard to believe some people are so willing to let a pro sports team leave. That's insane to me. Not to mention how many acts won't even play the Bradley Center anymore because it's so shitty. (Taylor is one of them) And on top of all that, the new arena will be the starting point to completely revitalize downtown. |

I am convinced this is a racial thing when you boil it all down. The white portion of the state has little interest in the NBA. They may love basketball but I just do not think that translates to the NBA. The NBA specifically marketed itself in a way that has alienated some people. Even that guy that had on said he grew up on Oak Creek, huge bucks fan as a kid and has lost most interest in the NBA himself.
Because of that........I think to pass this arena/entertainment district proposal it is imperative that you have a 3 tiered monster. Bucks, NHL team, Convention/Concerts.
I don't want the Bucks to leave. I want the package of all 3 entities to thrive. Remember.....The Bucks hold the key to this. If they leave Seattle gets both them and the NHL team. If they stay Seattle gets no NHL team...they are firm on that. Someone has to get on it with the NHL team now dammit.

The ownership group needs to show some real plans with real $$ and the actual plot of land. I get the feeling they are just half assing enough to make it look like they are trying when in reality they don't care if it fails because they can just move.

Is the partnership for Marquette to play there? Is the SS facility part of the arena complex that has no plans yet? I was not around when that agreement went down so i don't know exactly what it entails.
I am getting the impression that the people making the decisions on the remaining money want to see some plans and they want a plot of land determined. Why is it a mystery location with no plans yet?

Well they've tried to get the Journal/Sentinel property if I'm not mistaken. And they've already laid out the dollar amounts they plan on contributing. And they've brought in countless private investors and partnerships. I mean damn, they just bought the team like 6 months ago or so. Look how long Sacremento took. I think the Bucks are way ahead of schedule.
