Not as fun as the Meat Shake, but ill-fitting nonetheless. Laurence is in with Spiegs today. Expect plenty of Bulls and NBA talk as the Association kicks off the regular season tonight. Enjoy.

Why did they have to take that show away?

Yes. Bob's is the best animated show on. I'm trying to get into China, IL also but it's kinda weird. I like the big fat guy though.

Archer is much better than Bob's, but since Bob is Archer, it throws me off when my daughter is watching and I can hear him from another room. I get excited thinking it's Archer and then...it's just Bob.

Skipping Bulls talk on opening night, especially with Rose's return and all the championship talk, has got to some sort of message from Mac. There's also plenty of Bears-Packers talk to get to, not to mention the World Series and the Blackhawks. In others words, there's plenty to do, and it'd be an understatement to say his absence today is highly conspicuous.

My goodness, I am actually enjoying Meat today. Bulls talk is going to suck this year if it's Thibs doesn't rest his guy complaints and regular season doesn't matter complaints all year.

Yeah, I figured Kirkwood would regret that statement in a short amount of time.

I liked Paxson's explanation of Thibs coaching style and how he establishes the time spent on the court and in practice. The talking heads don't want to really hear that, or acknowledge what Paxson is saying has value.
Let's find a new talking point.

I just wish Thibs would take his foot off the gas on a back to back to back against the Hornet/Bobcat to give Noah and Rose some rest. Marquis Teague can get you 25 minutes against that sorry squad.

I completely agree. I don't think it will happen, but I agree. IMO the only way the starters get rest is by kicking the crap of the other team and giving themselves the ability to take it easy in the 4th. Even then Thibs may not give more rest. He is absolutely focused on the lineups following a certain pattern. That pattern requires pretty stiff minutes from the starters. At this point it's just find a rabbits foot and hold on for dear life.

He should find plenty of time for R&R against several teams, including: Phoenix Milwaukee Philadelphia Boston Sacramento LAL Toronto Charlotte Dallas Utah Detroit Washington The Bulls should be up by double digits on most of these teams by the third quarter, except perhaps on the second game of a back to back, or at the end of road trips, etc. And even if they are close, no need to sacrifice health for a win over these teams, especially those outside the division. I assume no tie breaker scenarios will be involved since these teams are likely not qualifying for the playoffs.

I don't know if Thibs is happy unless da bull is up by 30. Then the team will have to remain up by 30 or the starters will come back in. Mild sarcasm. He definitely brings the starters in sooner than he needs to in dump games.

Dallas, Milwaukee, Detroit, the Lakers and Washington are all going to be in playoff contention. But I understand your point the NBA has quite a few teams in full on tank mode. Unfortunately, Thibs just doesnt give a fuck about any of that and wants to eviscerate any team the Bulls face. Which is kind of charming in a completely unhinged way.

I'm not sure about Milwaukee qualifying for the playoffs, but even if they or the others made it, it's tough to take even low-seeded playoff teams seriously in a league that needs a contraction or four to purge it of its countless undesirables.
