1,000 posts in about ten months. Damn, I must have way too much time on my hands. But then I look at some of you cretins and your post counts and I realize you have a lot more time on your hands. Either that, or you have a helluva lot more to say than I do. Either way, it's all good.
In my first 1,000 posts, I gave out way too many losing bets. I'll try to do my job a LOT better the next thou.

We need many more posts from you. But know that in your fraction of posts compared to KS and Hawger, your content is 1000 times more better. Quality over Quantity.

Yep. Moved in today, though most of our stuff won't get here for a week. We have a bed, cold beer, tv, internet and the pool. Saw a roadrunner dash across the lawn. Never saw that before.

Did you see Hawger running behind him with Acme dynamite? Glad you made it safe and sound! And have all the essentials. I look forward to weird austin texas stories

I looked up what you could feed it and apparently they're quite self sufficient. Greater Roadrunners eat mostly animals, including almost anything they can catch: small mammals, reptiles, frogs, toads, insects, centipedes, scorpions, and birds. Roadrunners also eat carrion and prey on bird eggs and chicks. They kill rattlesnakes by pecking them repeatedly in the head.I'd still put some whole corn out just in case the little feller can't find anything.

I saw several birds I have never seen before either, along with a deer and then a momma doe and her fawn. Looks like part of the landscaping logic is to plant what deer won't eat.

Actually, (and I hate to bring up the whole corn again) but deer LOVE whole corn. A 50lb bag at Farm & Fleet only costs about 6 bucks and in turn keeps the deer away from things that they might otherwise eat.
