I remember back when I listened to Opie & Anthony a few years ago they were interviewing Snuka and he was telling the story about his girlfriend. After Snuka said she said she had to go to the bathroom, when she went to jump back in the car, she slipped & hit her head (hmmmm...) so Snuka didn't know what was going on, so he picked her up, put her in the car & drove her to the hospital.
Opie (knowing full well what happened, but this was back when he was still a funny shock jock & not a corporate kiss ass now) then asked "so what's she up to now?" Then awkward silence, Opie tries to fake cover & Snuka said she died the next day at the hospital.

Also with the MSG show on the Network, always remember "card subject to change" because apparently it's now Chris Jericho vs Kevin Owens on the 25th anniversary of Jericho's first match.
As much as I love Cesaro/Owens, that's a better match to showcase on a special that has no implications on actual storylines.

So who is Ryback fighting at Night of Champions? Do we have any idea yet?

(Spoiler I guess) Nothing happened on Smackdown with Ryback. Something that did apparently happen on Smackdown this week though.....
Not sure if it's just makeup for storyline or not but it's supposedly from the catfight that ensued with Lana during Miz TV.
This feud makes everyone involved look stupid. The character of Dolph Ziggler over the years, makes it completely believable that he showed Summer his junk. Summer, is now apparently hypnotized by naked Dolph & said junk. This leaves Lana to worry Dolph cheated on her, but worse, Rusev, whose new girl is obsessed with the naked body of another dude.
I'm really trying to fantasy book how they get out of this disaster? - Ziggler heel turn? Have Summer admit to more & more interactions with Dolph, something he constantly denies, only to finally get caught, he smirks & says, eh what'd you expect? - This is PG, so the theory of Rusev becoming abusive that Summer saw Dolph naked goes out the window. - Ziggler gets the Kaientai/Val treatment & gets Choppy Choppy with a Russian Sickle? - Just a dumb mixed tag that leads nowhere.
I literally have no idea. What the hell does anyone gain from this? (aside from the fantastic gifs of the post catfight by Lana)

Ugh, that's the only comparison to Summer & Jillian I ever want to see, haha. Summer is smokin hot, Jillian......likes plastic surgery, a lot.
Brock also slated to face Big Show at MSG now, not Bo Dallas. Bullshit. I think the MSG fans would honestly prefer Bo over Show.

Just a bad domestic violence joke on my part. I definitely want to see Bo instead of Show. And as far as the Ryback thing goes, I noticed some things on Smackdown and was wondering where that left Kevin Owens. Maybe I misinterpreted some stuff but I started speculating about perhaps a Ryback/Owens program.

They have to know Miz/Show are awful contenders for Ryback. Can't believe I'm saying this, but Show/Ryback weren't having that bad of a match Monday, all it took was Miz to jump on the apron, right back down, Show gets distracted & pinned. Made Show look stupid. They're accomplishing nothing in this feud.
Owens would be a good challenger, as he's someone who would elevate the title more than Ryback anyway, but I can only hope Cena wins the US title back (ugh) and we get a good Cesaro/Cena feud for the title.

Summer's body rocks, but she has a butter face.
Also...where's Sandow? Let him go back to his old Damien Sandow personna, become a heel and don't have him job to everyone.

Does anyone in creative realize that Sandow actually got The Miz over during their time together and now everyone hates The Miz with Sandow gone and Sandow is buried working house shows. A guy that has in ring talent and can obviously play just about any shitty character they give him should be a goldmine for them with a decent character that has some longevity. Joiny Rusev and change his name to Sandowski. Have him be a power manager that has multiple tag teams in his stable and can get in the wring when needed.

It makes you wonder why some of the talent who aren't used on the WWE roster ever aren't utilized down in NXT. Not saying 5-6 guys should go down there, because then people will think of NXT as reject central, which it isn't, but why can't guys like Sandow or Swagger repackage themselves for a while? Beats literally doing nothing on TV. Tyson Kidd did it, Zack Ryder is in the process of doing it.
I read a good suggestion of having Swagger go to NXT & align with Gable & Jordan, both amateur wrestlers. Sort of have a Team Angle feel. It's at least a suggestion for something for Swagger to do. The guy hasn't done a thing since the Real Americans broke up nearly 2 years ago now.

That's a decent idea.
Will he be in the Angle role, or the Charlie Haas role?

I could see Gable & Jordan being the next WGTT, so Swagger as their "coach" for a while wouldn't be a bad idea. Have Swagger work when needed, but have it focused more on the two young guns. Start making them a legit threat that way too.

I really like the idea. The entrance could involve Swagger having them do pushups on the entrance ramp to pyro.

Also with the Snuka stuff, been reading on Twitter, people are wondering if Vince is going to be questioned about this. This could get awfully interesting. I also wonder if Tamina will take time off to be with her dad? I know I read an awesome piece about Vince's involvement. It was old, and I can't remember who wrote it. I'm aware that's very helpful. But I remember thinking Vince made the entire situation go away. – A 2013 article has resurfaced looking at Vince McMahon’s involvement in the 1983 investigation into the death of Jimmy Snuka’s girlfriend Nancy Argentino. As previously reported, Snuka has been charged with third-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter in the death. While McMahon’s participation in the investigation isn’t news, it’s also not as widely known as the allegations against Snuka. McMahon was part of the meeting that Snuka had with District Attorney William Platt (now a Pennsylvania Senior Superior Court judge), then-Assistant District Attorney Robert Steinberg and the medical examiner on June 1st, 1983. An excerpt of the article is below. Whitehall Police Detectives Gerry Procanyn, Al Fritzinger and Vincent Geiger were also at the meeting, according to police records. There’s no official record of what was said and Snuka doesn’t remember much of what happened, according to his book. “All I remember is [McMahon] had a briefcase with him,” Snuka wrote in his autobiography. “I don’t know what happened. …The only thing I know for sure is I didn’t hurt Nancy.” Steinberg, now a Lehigh County judge, said Snuka didn’t say much and McMahon “did all the talking.” “I remember Vince McMahon being what Vince McMahon has always been — very effusive. He was very protective, a showman,” Steinberg said, noting he couldn’t recall specifics of the conversation. “He was the mouthpiece, trying to direct the conversation.” Procanyn said McMahon gave authorities the phone numbers of wrestlers and managers they wanted to speak with. Fritzinger could not be reached for comment and Geiger died in 1984. Platt wouldn’t comment when asked if Whitehall police pushed for charges to be filed. WWE responded to the newly-resurfaced article with a statement, which reads as follows: “The insinuation that a group of medical examiners, detectives and prosecutors – including two who became judges – could have their integrity compromised and participate in improper activity during the course of a meeting is absurd, categorically false and insulting to all parties. We are hopeful that justice will prevail.” You can read the article here: articles.mcall.com/2013-06-18/news/mc-jimmy-snuka-cold-case-20130608_1_snuka-hotel-room-don-muraco/4

UPDATED: WWE has issued the following statement, noting that they have suspended Jimmy Snuka’s Legends contract which led to the removal of his profile:
“Jimmy Snuka’s non-wrestling ‘legends’ contract has been suspended and we are currently removing his images from our media platforms pending the outcome of this case.”
ORIGINAL: In the wake of the third-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter indictments levied against him on Tuesday, WWE has quietly removed Jimmy Snuka from the WWE Hall of Fame section of its website. Snuka’s profile is no longer on the site, including in alumni.
WWE issued a statement yesterday in which they said that they were reviewing Snuka’s WWE legends contract. The move is similar to Hulk Hogan’s removal from the Hall of Fame section, although Snuka has not been completely scrubbed from the site as Hogan was.

Her social media indicates that the two have been dating and she posted these photos below. Kathy is often shown with her daughters on Total Divas and attends WWE shows when she can. As you can see below, she went out with Nikki Bella, John Cena and “People Power” himself for her birthday and engagement dinner: Read more: www.pwmania.com/photos-familiar-face-getting-married-to-wwes-john-laurinaitis#ixzz3kdr6eoW8

– USA Network sent out a press release touting their win among cable networks for the summer. The show gave the usual credit to Raw for being the #1 weekly series on cable. though Tough Enough is conspicuously not mentioned. Check out the release below:
USA NETWORK WINS THE SUMMER, RANKING #1 IN KEY DEMOS ACROSS ALL BASIC CABLE CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED ‘MR. ROBOT’ RANKS AS SUMMER’S #2 NEW CABLE SERIES POWERHOUSE DRAMA ‘SUITS’ EARNS TOP 5 SPOT IN SCRIPTED BASIC CABLE WWE CONTINUES ITS REIGN AS THE #1 WEEKLY SERIES ON CABLE
NEW YORK – September 3, 2015 – USA Network tops all basic cable networks this summer (June-August) in the key demos P18-49 (779,000), P25-54 (843,000) and P18-34 (367,000) in press prime. The network’s success was driven by the critically-acclaimed and award-winning hit original drama MR. ROBOT and the ratings juggernaut WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW, as well as the network’s popular returning original series including SUITS, GRACELAND, CHRISLEY KNOWS BEST, and ROYAL PAINS. USA’s powerful slate of acquired content, including LAW & ORDER: SVU and NCIS also helped fuel the win.
Season-to-date, the breakout hit MR. ROBOT is averaging 1.4MM P18-49, 1.5MM P25-54 and 2.8MM total P2+, making it the #2 new scripted basic cable drama series of the summer and #3 new scripted basic cable drama series of the year in the key demos. To-date, MR. ROBOT has been sampled 17.4MM times across all platforms — including linear, VOD, iTunes, USAnetwork.com and multiple digital outlets. The show has garnered 9.3MM VOD transactions thus far and was July’s #1 basic cable performer across Comcast on demand platforms. Also the series is regularly ranked among the top five most downloaded series on iTunes. On USAnetwork.com, MR. ROBOT recorded the highest engagement rate of any first season USA original (14 min. vs. average 6 min.) and the most video streams for a new USA series in five years (6.4MM season-to-date).
WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW continues to be the most-watched, regularly scheduled, year-round program on cable, airing a live three-hour block every Monday night, 52 weeks a year. This summer RAW again earned a spot in the top ten shows on television, averaging 1.83MM P18-49, 1.965MM P25-54, 949K P18-34 and 4.22MM P2+.
SUITS delivered a strong summer performance, ranking as a top 5 basic cable scripted drama among P18-49 (1.5MM) and a top 10 summer basic cable series among P2+ (3.8MM).
In 2015 to-date, CHRISLEY KNOWS BEST has seen high double-digit growth in P18-49 (+43%), P25-54 (+68%) and P2+ (+58%), compared to 2014. CHRISLEY was the top unscripted cable series on Comcast’s XFinity on Demand service in July and has garnered 15.5MM VOD transactions this year across all on demand services.
ROYAL PAINS, which has been renewed for an eighth season, averaged 3MM viewers P2+, and GRACELAND is averaging 1.6MM P2+ leading into the thrilling third season finale.
USA boasts a portfolio that includes the some of the strongest-performing acquired series on cable in primetime, with LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT and NCIS ranking as the top two acquired dramas in prime this summer in P18-49 (SVU 544,000 / NCIS 378,000), P25-54 (SVU 570,000 / NCIS 492,000) and total viewers P2+ (SVU 1.5MM / NCIS 1.9MM).
In addition to the network’s on air success, USANetwork.com enjoyed one of its strongest summers ever, following a site redesign at the end of May. Year-over-year engagement significantly increased in terms of total streams (+144%), average time spent (+67%), and unique visitors (+16%). In July alone, the site earned 3.4MM uniques, 10.5MM video streams (the highest in five years) and users spent 24.6 minutes per visit.

King Barrett at 20 is beyond my comprehension. Without putting too much thought into it at the moment, I'd say my Top 10 would be: (I'm assuming this is for the last 12 months?) 1. Rollins 2. Cena 3. Bruce Hart joined the Main Event Madness podcast recently and talked a variety of topics, including the current state of the WWE, the possibility of his brother Owen’s induction into the WWE Hall of Fame, and even gave an update on the health of Tyson Kidd. Hart has appeared with the WWE at the 1993 Survivor Series, teaming with his brothers to face Shawn Michaels (originally scheduled to be Jerry “The King” Lawler) and his “Knights” and perhaps most famously for being the special guest referee in Bret Hart’s match against Vince McMahon at WrestleMania 26. The most surprising thing Hart mentioned was his view on the extent of Tyson Kidd’s recent neck injury and how the WWE handled it: I was taken aback when I heard about, just the way WWE handled it. He injured his neck quite badly in that match with Samoa Joe. I was told when he [Tyson Kidd] was in the dressing room after, one agent, he indifferently said ‘go take your shower’. [Kidd] said no my neck is really f***ed up and I was told he said ‘we’re not going to pay for an ambulance’ and they were almost making it out like he was a hypochondriac. My niece Nattie, his wife, they said if you wanted to go to the hospital it’s your choice. She set out for the hospital and got lost in San Antonio and she finally got there after some kind of driving around. When they got there, they did the CT scans and MRIs and immediately determined that it was a near fatal injury. It was a fraction of an inch from either being a fatality or a paralysis from the neck down type thing. They notified the WWE of this, and I was told there were only 3 or 4 places in the US where they can perform this type of microsurgery that would stabilize and do what they needed to for his neck. They had to at that point charter a some kind of air ambulance from San Antonio to Florida, which was the closest place that did that type of surgery. I heard that cost $100,000 and they had to fly him back for that. At this point I was told they haven’t made any contact, WWE hasn’t called, some of the wrestlers have called TJ, as I know him. At this point as far as I’ve been told it’s certain his career’s over and that he’s fortunate to not be a paraplegic. The comments occur around the 56:00 minute mark of the interview, which can be found here. www.spreaker.com/user/wrestling365/mem-35-bruce-hart-interview At this point, it should probably be pointed out that these are just Hart’s comments on the matter and have not been confirmed or denied by Kidd, his wife Natalya, or the WWE. I remember reading in Bret's book how Bruce tried to book himself to look like a star in the 93 Survivor Series. And then also he tried to take over how the Vince/Bret match was going to go too.
I don't believe a thing Bruce says, but I do sadly still wonder if Kidd's injury will end his career.
