It's a bummer. I remember I was such a fan of wrestling that I became a fan of theirs solely because of hearing the HHH theme song the first time.
I knew Ace of Spades of course, but I didn't know anything about them really until then.
RIP Lemmy

According to PWInsider.com, the original creative plan for The League of Nations faction was to include Kevin Owens, however Owens and his son became very ill while on the road with WWE and Owens was subsequently sent home from a week’s worth of TV tapings. That was the same week the League of Nations group debuted, so Owens was replaced.
Thank God.

I'm glad KO & Owen are all better, but holy smokes, talk about dodging a bullet.
Owens having to come out to that awful music & celebrate like a friggin doofus when they win a match. He's be just another guy in that group.

Bullet Club chasing Balor on NXT could be quite the thing. Promote Joe to the main roster. I don't know if any of this will happen, but you have a massive built-in storyline.

Or the Balor Club comes in when Hideo Itami comes back and reveals it was Balor that attacked him way back when!

I hate this so much. Ambrose isn't Lenny fucking Harris. He could be Johnny Bench. The fact he's so comfortable in that role is really frightening.
– Chad Dukes of CBS Radio Washington DC 106.7 The Fan and ChadDukesWrestling.com recently spoke with WWE Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose. The full interview is at this link and here are a few highlights:
Roddy Piper comparisons and his favorite Piper moment:
I don’t know how you can not take it as a compliment. I was able to have a lot of good conversations, spend a good amount of time with him through the last couple years which was, that’s a rare opportunity and I don’t think a lot of guys got that. Me and him really just kind of clicked because he just kind of sensed that we had a similar outlook on stuff. The thing I like about him, I’ve been asked about him since he passed away a few times, the thing I always say is my favorite Roddy Piper moment was one of the nights he was wrestling Hogan it was in WCW. He’s wrestling Hogan and he’s the big hero finally going to go up against the NWO or whatever and just the entrance makes you go, “Man, that’s what wrestling, that’s where you captivate people.” ‘Cause they just went out there and back raked each other for fifteen minutes, they’re both like fifty five by that point, but the entrance he just walks down, Roddy Piper music, and he just walks to the ring, down the ramp, with like this death stare at the ring, like this thousand yard, like he’s in a different mental place. He’s doing nothing but doing everything. The way he walks the ring, you know that Roddy Piper is ready to die in the ring fighting the NWO that night, he does not care, he will fight to the death. This is the end of the world fight. It’s so hard to capture that anymore because it’s such a fun, entertainment thing nowadays. We have so many shows and so much content. When is there an end of the world fight to the death anymore?
His current role in WWE:
Lenny Harris was a utility player for the [Cincinatti] Reds, he’s on my favorite players because he literally played every position on every night he played a different position. First base, short stop, whatever, but he was a beloved guy because he was always there and could do anything. I think I’m one of the only guys here, I mean we have so much great talent here, but I can do anything. I can literally do anything. That’s not me being like, “oh I’m so great,” I’m just like. I know what I’m doing. I’m not some schmuck they just hired and threw down in the Performance Center and gave him an entrance or anything that like. I’ve been around enough and have enough experience, I know what I’m doing pretty much. I like to think I’m a good mechanic for the company. “Oh well, we sprung a leak? Call Ambrose, throw him in there.” I like that because I think it has really upped my value with the company and I think that they realize nowadays too another Dean Ambrose isn’t going to walk through the door anytime soon or ever. So. I kind of exist in my own little space, I kind of got my own little corner of the room carved out for myself which I like.

Really annoys me too. His life isn't tough, he has his girlfriend with him every day, so being homesick isn't an issue, you'd think he'd want to be the top guy.
It's a bummer if that's not what's he wants. It seems likes he's content with being the upper mid card (can main event TV & house shows, but not PPVs) kind of guy.
Wonder if that was his mind set when he first came into the company? I'd think not.

Maybe he just wants to look at things positively. If Vince and creative have set his ceiling then maybe he is just going to try and be happy everyday rather than be pissed about it. ....or it could be some reverse psychology.

I hope it's reverse psychology. I know this wasn't in character, but you'd think a guy named The Lunatic Fringe would want to do more that be a utility player.

According to a recent edition of MLW Radio, several top New Japan Pro Wrestling stars have given their notices to NJPW, and will be leaving the promotion very soon. AJ Styles, Doc Gallows, Shinsuke Nakamura and Karl Anderson are all NJPW names rumored to be leaving, but it seems Nakamura might be leaving later than the other names mentioned as he is the current IWGP Intercontinental Champion.
Wrestling Observer Radio has corroborated the above information, and added that the above names have all been targeted by WWE. Host Dave Meltzer noted that AJ Styles has been working in New Japan recently without a contract, despite being booked in a very high profile match at Wrestle Kingdom 10 against Nakamura. Styles has previous stated in interviews that if the right deal is offered, he would be open to working for WWE or NXT.

According to F4WOnline.com, WWE has signed New Japan Pro Wrestling stars AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson.
All four men reportedly informed NJPW, prior to Wrestle Kingdom 10 late last night, that they would be leaving the promotion.
Karl Anderson was reportedly negotiating a deal with TNA, however he decided to drop those negotiations when the WWE deal offer came in.
As for Ring of Honor, Anderson, Gallows and Nakamura are all expected to finish out their remaining February dates with ROH, but Styles is likely finished with ROH as of this writing.

Fuckin A, you think Balor is a tad happy? I'd love to see all these guys in NXT, but Nakamura & AJ should be on the main roster.
Nakamura could be huge for them, I really hope they just don't pair him with Itami (which sounds crazy because that's be awesome).
Nakamura vs Bryan is becoming more of a possibility if Bryan is healthy.

I'm sooooo disenchanted with the main roster and what's going on with the overall show. Nothing besides the main event feels halfway important. Everything is so bland. Scratch that I'm actually kind into the Charlotte and Becky storyline but it needs less Ric Flair in it.
NXT is different where damn near everything feels important. The tag bouts the Dana Brooke/Emma story and the main event. I pretty much skipped the last few Raws.

Somewhere KS just lost his damn mind. At least the Young Bucks and Red Dragon are staying away for now. Wrestle Kingdom was SO DAMN GOOD!!!! Why would they go to the land of the lame when they basically had perfection in New Japan? I always wanted to see AJ in WWE, I just have no faith in creative. At least NXT will be great for awhile.

Apparently Styles & Nakamura are going to be on the main roster, at least that's what I've read. They're going to be expensive to sign I'm sure, so you might as well use them on the main roster. While NXT matches would be great (Nakamura especially), I'm happy AJ would be used on the main roster. Dude is almost 40, so having him get on the main roster now would be good.
Creative, like always, will always fuck it up. Only exception was The Shield. Aside from that, they get a month or two, then that's it.
They should take this as a way to make new stars for the WWE. Nakamura especially, when's the last time they had potential for a huge Japanese star? Itami is in NXT, so I'm not counting him just yet.
Gallows & Anderson would thrive in NXT. Turn Balor heel & they can be his henchmen. It'd be fantastic.

Charlotte is soooo much better as a heel. Becky has been fantastic. And I agree on the less Flair sentiment.

It's something new & that's what's desperately needed in the WWE. I realize they have NXT to just call up anyone they want, but these are some of the biggest possible signings they could've made.
Only complaint with Charlotte now, is that Flair is there EVERY TIME. Eventually she's going to have to be a heel on her own, without a crutch. Just hopefully it's sooner rather than later. I can just picture it being June & Flair's still trotting out there each week.
It's how Charlotte should've been brought up from the start, but they were so intent on this fucking Divas Revolution. They should've been brought up one at a time & we could've avoided all that nonsense last year.

I just wish NJPW and ROH had the wherewithal to compete. I'm never thrilled with losing people to the E. They fuck up everything except NXT.

Agreed, I guess I'm just excited for the possibility of someone new, not anyone we've seen in NXT, just something new.
ROH vs NJPW would be an incredible feud. Maybe it could still happen? These departures could lead to newer guys getting opportunities.
My question, if AJ & Nakamura come to the main roster, won't they have to take time to learn the "WWE style" of wrestling? Wonder how long that would take?

I think they will start sending Flair away after Mania. I agree he's awful in that role. It would be better with a male wrestler, but he still wouldn't know how to not try to get himself over. He's been doing it his entire life.

So AJ and Nakamura have to debut in the Rumble match, right? They always have spots that need to be filled an instead of trotting out some old guys for a paycheck, bring out those 2 and some NXT guys.

They always have spots that need to be filled an instead of trotting out some old guys for a paycheck, bring out those 2 and some NXT guys. Nakamura still has dates to fulfill and also needs to drop the belt before leaving. He will definitely not be able to make the Rumble. AJ is free as a bird right now.

Doesn't AJ still have matches booked against Mysterio & Zack Sabre?
Will he fulfill those obligations or will WWE pull him?
