Bobby Roode had the best promo of his career last night.
If he was in a real company, he could be huge.

Yep. I wish they hadn't killed this promotion in 2011.

Bully Ray and Brooke is one of the best things going. I think the thing that bothers me most about A.J. is when he says words with a "g" on the end. He's one of those guys that says, for example, thingah.

Dixie Carter @tnadixie 8m
Going to start #BFG off hot with #UltimateX. Who will win? @austinaries @jeffhardybrand @projectsabin @samoajoe or X Champ @maskaramanik?
Samoa Joe really doesn't belong in an Ultimate X match.

No I get the reasoning.
A guy like Magnus or Gunner should be there instead of Joe.

Magnus is going to get a big pass of the torch tonight. Hopefully he uses it to burn the company to the ground.

Backstage News on Eric Bischoff's Status, Why People Think He May Be Finished with TNA By Marc Middleton Oct 27, 2013 - 7:38:13 AM
- As noted before, TNA talents were told at Thursday's backstage meeting that Eric Bischoff would be working from home going forward. Bischoff was not at Thursday's tapings or last Sunday's Bound For Glory pay-per-view. There are lots of people in TNA who expect to never see Bischoff in TNA again.
The new 24/7 campaign TNA is running is something that was pushed internally as far back as 2009. One of the ideas was to have one-hour weekly YouTube shows on the X Division and the Knockouts, leading to product interest and money generated from YouTube. There were lots of people pushing for the idea to be cleared and budgeted for but as soon as Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan were signed, the idea was shot down and went away. Hogan and Bischoff hated the concept, didn't believe in it and were all about building up TV so they could compete with WWE.
The fact that TNA is now going with this concept and the fact that Jeff Jarrett is getting more involved and more power once again, a lot of people are thinking that this is the end of Bischoff in TNA

Share2 Tweet1 0 Share10 Posted in: TNA Backstage Update on Morale In TNA Following Thursday's Talent Meeting at the Impact Tapings By Marc Middleton Oct 27, 2013 - 7:30:20 AM
- As noted, morale was up after Thursday's TNA talent meeting. The feeling after the meeting was that a lot of pressure was off the wrestlers as far as TNA going out of business goes. People are excited about the company going back to Universal Studios to tape Impact Wrestling. The feeling among many of the wrestlers was that they will have to suck it up and suffer for the next month or two and then things will get back to normal as far as what TNA used to be.
There's a general consensus that the company over-reached, went down the wrong path and now they're cutting things down and moving forward. There was even some talk on Thursday about bringing back some of the released talents in some fashion while they're still looking at signing new talents.

I hope TNA rehashing the Summer of Punk angle, which was a rehash of the ROH angle, leads to something. If I'm TNA, I develop a working relationship with every organization that isn't WWE. They have a broadcast deal that can provide greater exposure to every indy organization. It can provide US exposure for promotions in Mexico, Japan, etc. By bringing in random performers, it limits the amount of people you have to pay regularly. It makes the program exciting, because fans are seeing unique wrestlers every week. While this is happening, build a roster of 30-35 guys and girls that you position as stars.
Guess what else occurs? Your positioned talent receives overseas exposure. More unique viewers are experiencing your product. This can lead to lucrative overseas tours, which is what really kept WWE afloat when WCW was kicking their ass.

TNA for sale from pw tourch
While TNA undergoes cosmetic changes - TV tapings returning to Orlando, a reduction of live event touring, new "24/7" Creative initiative - there is significant behind-the-scenes activity, reports the Wrestling Observer. Included could be an eventual sale of TNA.
According to an Observer report, the Carter Family has been looking to get out of the wrestling business "for a while" and there are interested buyers.
The reported motivation to sell TNA would be to get the wrestling company off Panda Energy's books after losing money over a period of time. A timeline of events this year points to the financial aspect.
Mainly, TNA began cutting wrestlers because of budget reasons. Then, the cost of running road TV tapings on a bi-weekly basis began to add up, prompting the move back to Orlando next month.
As of right now, the public image is business as usual with the focus on TNA's new online content initiative leading into a slate of house shows and one TV taping in early November before TNA returns to Orlando at the end of the month.
Caldwell's Analysis: This is a significant story for the rest of 2013 into 2014. TNA has survived ratings downturns, talent changes, management hirings & firings, and all kinds of ups-and-downs throughout company history thanks to the support of (a) Panda and (b) Spike TV to provide the TV outlet. Removing one or both could be a back-breaker for the company, unless a new buyer were to come in and provide stability for TNA.

It moved.
As a follow-up to our report earlier today about a certain individual seriously interested in the sale of TNA, WrestleZone can now reveal that Billy Corgan is one name coming up a lot right now.
Best known for his days as the frontman of The Smashing Pumpkins, Corgan is a notorious wrestling fan, and also the one behind independent wrestling company, Resistance Pro Wrestling.
One current TNA star and two former stars have all verified that Corgan's name is making the circles behind the scenes in TNA. While no concrete details are available at this time, and no public statements have been made by either party regarding this possibility, current water cooler talk in TNA is pointing to Corgan as a potential candidate.

Man, I would hope Corgan is too smart to buy into TNA. On the other hand, they did try to get him to buy ECW off of Heyman back in the day.
Let's see: a ring, some belts and a TV contract for 'x' hours content each week. How much would you pay?

If you can get a commitment from Spike and the parent, it could be a victory for everyone. I could make TNA financially successful. I'm sure Corgan could.

One of you guys said, TNA really hasn't been that good since they moved away from the Wednesday night PPV shows out of Memphis. I pretty much agree with that assessment.

I certainly hope Mr. Corgan has good attorneys. I'm not sure if you can make a temporary insanity defense on a business deal, but they should sure as hell try.
