Sting, Freebirds, Stan Hansen, Vader, and JBL would be a pretty solid class. This would leave two spots for a deceased wrestler and a female. Bruiser Brody would make a ton of sense. They could skip the female this year.
- We’ve noted for months how there’s been talk of The Fabulous Freebirds going into the WWE Hall of Fame this year in Dallas. It looks like the group will be going in but there’s been a lot of talk about whether or not Jimmy Garvin will be going in with Michael “PS” Hayes, Buddy Roberts and Terry Gordy. Word is that Garvin will also be inducted, thanks to Hayes.
Another name rumored for this year’s Hall of Fame class former WWE, WCW, NJPW, All Japan, AWA and NWA star Stan Hansen.
Former World Heavyweight Champion Vader indicated on Twitter a few weeks back that he may be inducted but we’ve heard nothing like that coming out of WWE.
One possible name who hasn’t been reported is current announcer JBL. He’s not a lock for this year’s class but there are people within WWE who would not be surprised to see JBL inducted this year.
As PWMania.com reported, Sting will be this year’s headliner.

I seriously would like to see some more AWA, Windy City, WCCW guys get in. Maybe some are and I just haven't looked into it but guys like the aforementioned, Dick The Bruiser, Baron von Raschke, Mad Dog Vachon, Chris Adams, Gino Hernandez, Bruiser Brody.......to name just a few.

Crusher bobbleheads at the ads game in february when they have pro wrestling night. I think they have 5 former or maybe even current wrestlers scheduled to appear. I think one of the bushwackers will be there.

Crusher was such an amazing character. His interactions with Heenan were off the chart. Yeah, try "interacting" with him when you need to help him bury a fifty-year-old rat next to County Stadium. The relationship becomes less glamorous. |

The Godfather is going to be inducted this year.
Why? I mean he was a great character in the Attitude Era, but Papa Shango, Kama the Supreme Fighting Machine, Kama Mustafa & The Goodfather (though I liked that one) all aren't Hall of Fame worthy characters.
Rick Rude still isn't in. Rick Martel still isn't in. It's embarrassing.

I'm more fine with Bossman going in than Kama. He was a good big man, wrestled in Crockett, UFW, feuded with Hogan out of the gate in the WWF, WCW, back to WWF, I mean he does have a resume.
They are inducting so many people each year, that they are running out of major names.
I say this every damn time, but Rick Martel & Rick Rude not being in the HOF is friggin ridiculous. |
