Why exactly would Undertaker want to win this match? The Authority is corrupt, why would Taker help them out by winning? Mania should be about larger than life matches, so I'm all for this match, but the reasoning as to why Taker would want to win doesn't make sense. That crossed my mind. I will give it time while I put pants back on.

If you've spent time in my presence, first, I'm sorry ... secondly, you've probably heard me drone on about how Paul had it right when he didn't put his championship belt on the most over wrestler, nor did he feel compelled to put the belt in the last slot of the night.
I think somebody might have gotten part of that idea right in the back because I think it's entirely conceivable, given the storyline and the various combatants in the two matches, that the HHH/Reigns match will be second to last and instead they'll close with Shane vs. Undertaker.
I could see people leaving during the Reigns match if it was last - and that would be a nightmarish visual for WWE. Putting the UT match last pretty much eliminates that from happening.
Just a thought while I was taking a squirt.

There's no way Taker loses. I see this being just a 6 week program to build Mania. But Taker would be a heel if he does defeat Shane, but I don't see Taker getting booed in his hometown.
Very strange, yet very awesome. I'm conflicted.

Oh the Taker/Shane-o-mac match will surely close Mania.

In kayfabe reality, I'm guessing Stephanie's adoption papers are in that lockbox.
In my world, I'd just like it to be the rest of Mae Young's "baby".

Shane Vs. Taker closes WM.
Epic match, back and forth, blood and guts everywhere.
Undertaker about to win ... from under the ring comes Kane to put Shane over.
This sets up Undertaker's retirement match against his "brother" at Summerslam.
And, scene.

Shane in charge could give them the shot in the arm they so desperately need.
If Shane loses, we are right back to The Authority again & that hasn't worked. Mania could be the night that Shane takes control & Trips loses the title.
It's a show where good is supposed to triumph over evil, so having Shane win control of the company would also soften the blow of Reigns winning the title.
Still think Taker wins, but I hope I'm wrong. Also hope they don't bait & switch this match, now that it's been announced, I want Taker vs Shane in a Cell.

The NXT call ups can all happen as soon as Shane takes control. This can be glorious.
Now Paul got edited? Hardcore language tonight!!!

There is no chance in Hell that anything other than HHH-Reigns closes out the show.
And that's exactly how it should be.

I like Ambrose getting a big match. The street fight is a good idea.

Hogan/Rock was in the middle of Mania 18. Hell, Triple H/Orton closed Mania 25 while HBK/Undertaker went on before it.
Title always goes on last. Like I said, Shane winning softens the blow of Reigns ending Mania champ.
If Shane loses, Reigns as World Champ & The Authority still in charge after Mania is over, get ready for LOTS of people to stop watching, so I don't think they'll do that.

Control of the company could supercede the belt. Thats kind of a big deal and something that isn't ever on the table.

I don't mind Reigns, I really don't.
I wish the Usos would fall off a cliff.

Ha. I think it'll grow on me in the next 6 weeks. And Drop In is right in that it's good for Ambrose to be in such a high profile match.

But I think Shane wins control of Raw, leaving Vince, Hunter, and Stephanie desperate. They do everything they can to defeat Reigns, who will have Rocky in his corner. Reigns will prevail, and the confetti will fall. Shane will come out and celebrate briefly with Rock. But ultimately, Roman will be left in the ring on his own. End show.

So far this is turning into a gimmick-rich Wrestlemania, so anything's possible, including match order being monkeyed with.
Incidentally, lest history be re-written, nobody thought a lot of the Rock/Hogan match outside of the names. What happened was one of the most bizarre and magical things ever, followed by that following speech (on Smackdown?) by Hogan where they applauded for 20 minutes.

The Rock vs Hogan will definitely get a nice ranking in the Every Mania match countdown thread (cheap plug). That was one of the most mesmerizing things ever, just seeing the crowd switch mid match to all Hogan supporters.
