Bayley hurt at the tapings tonight. Nevermind. Supposedly a storyline injury.

Saw a Lance Storm tweet that showed Ellering's daughter wrestling at an NXT show. Ric, Tully, now Paul's daughters all going to NXT. Arn talked about his son maybe getting into the biz.
Love all of these 2nd generation kids getting a shot.

Should've done more with Arda. He's super knowledgeable & a good talker. Granted he just did the Raw pre-shows sometimes & then the web stuff, he should've done more than that.

There is a great deal of speculation about the future of one of Lucha Underground’s top stars Prince Puma, who is also known on the independents as “Ricochet.” He is one of the most athletic, exciting, and best wrestlers in the world no matter what name he is using, and it’s being reported that he’ll either be staying in Lucha Underground, or he could be making the transition to WWE.
According to a report from Wrestlezone.com, Puma was brought back to The Temple to film the latest set of television tapings for Lucha Underground this week.
What’s interesting about that is the Prince Puma character had a been written off the show in case negotiations with him behind the scenes well through and he left the promotion and went to another promotion or even to WWE.
However, the belief is that a deal will be reached between Puma and Lucha Underground because they will be offering him much more money than WWE or any other promotion would be willing to pay him. The offer that is being prepared will make him one of the highest-paid non-ex-WWE talents in North America.
The offer that is being prepared will make him one of the highest-paid non-ex-WWE talents in North America, and there are apparently plans ready to bring Prince Puma back to television.

No clue where to put this, but apparently Hogan is suing Gawker AGAIN for distress & ending his career.
This after he was just awarded $140 million.
Typical Terry. I'd say the discovery of the audio of him dropping N-bombs had more to do with him getting fired from WWE than his fuck tape did.

Ryback sent home!!!!

I guess he had a falling out with Vince over his contract. Vince said if he didn't like what they were offering him with their new contract offer, he should go home & he did.
The biggest character development of Ryback over the past 2 years has been him mocking Punk whenever they're in Chicago. The hell does he expect to get paid?

I stopped reading after a couple paragraphs but if you're stronger than I am, here's the whole thing:
Ryback Issues Statement Saying WWE Talent Should Be Paid Equally Posted By: Ben Kerin on May 03, 2016
Ryback issued the following statement online on his Tumblr account addressing his current contractual situation:
Today I sit and fly home and for the first time in years feel absolutely free. I will start by saying I did request to be taken off of WWE television until myself and Vince could get a yes or no on a new deal. This has been going on since my IC Title run and had been nothing but a major strain on my life as all I ever wanted to do was work for WWE. I was told to head home until we agree or not agree to specific terms and contrary to reports it isn’t over money or a bus that stuff was settled a while ago. It comes down to a major problem I have with not only WWE but wrestling in general.
Wrestling is pre determined, we as performers know before we go out to that ring or perform a backstage scene who is winning and losing etc or have a general idea of what we are going to say. It blows my mind how in a sport which is pre determined from a company standpoint winners are paid so much more than the losers. Every single person who works for WWE from top to bottom is absolutely just as valuable as the next. The winners cannot win unless the losers go out there and agree to lose to them.
It blows my mind that in this day and age though we still adhere to this formula. Obviously things have always been this way, but does that make them right? Times have changed and our goal as humans should be to evolve and learn from our past and the past of others so we could make this world a better place. Why is it a guy who is told he is going to go out and lose and does everything he is told be paid not only less, but much less than said winner over a period of time. Every single performer for WWE sacrifices the same amount of time from home and their families and every single man or women goes out and does what they are told. Looking at this formula though losers turn into what fans like to call jobbers and their value decreases in the companies eyes and before you know it they get released. For what? For doing exactly as they are told!
Why not pay the talent equally? The winners have more MERCH as it is or are supposed to anyways so they get that extra perk, but why make the guy who is told to and agrees to lose earn less and sacrifice spots in big pay per view match ups etc. This is one of the major problems with wrestling and WWE today. Most guys take great satisfaction in helping making other talent, the bitching and the moaning we always hear about stems from the fact they know they are ultimately over time going to make less and live in fear of being released.
I am proud to say I have never gone to change a finish and have gladly took pride in helping put over other talent. Hell look at my pay per view record of 12-26 and you will see that has been the pattern of my career. I have always been confident in my ability and work ethic to being my best every day and ultimately always felt that by doing good it was the right thing to do. Personally seeing my money go down over the years though even though I was working as much as ever and being denied magazine covers and other projects as well as watching my role diminish no matter what I did or how hard I tried takes its toll on a human. Being told no matter how hard I work or how good I get doesn’t always pay off is something I fucking refuse to ever believe in my life. I am a creative being and to be restricted time and time again is no way to live life. There is nothing I cannot do and I know no matter what comes of this situation I am going to be just fine. It isn’t soley about money, it is about commitment. Commitment to a guy who fucking cares and who loves this more than anything in the world and wants to know that his passion his efforts and his determination to constantly improve is going to be recognized and taken care of.
WWE may very well release me, which if it is the case so be it. If we can work things out a lot needs to change as I am not living in fear and creatively cannot continue to live a life that limits me creatively. I have many other interests and passions and have been very smart with my finances over the years. I thank every WWE superstar from top to bottom for their sacrifices and for working with me. The world is an amazing place and there is more than just a WWE universe there is The Universe and I will prove one way or another over time I am the greatest big guy in the universe!
MORE MEフィード MORE ME fīdo

He can go be Mason Ryan and have a nice career somewhere.

Wonder if Mason Ryan can get him a job with Cirque du Soleil too?
This was awfully rambly, but it's still interesting. They have stop started this dude so much & never done anything more than be a mid-card guy at best. When he first started as Ryback (not Skip Sheffield), he was dominating motherfuckers, crowd ate it up. Stuck him with Punk WAY too early, then had him lose at Mania to Mark Henry for no reason, then challenged Cena & lost constantly, had a forgettable feud with Punk, managed by Heyman, then came the Rybaxel days, got hurt, came back like the old Ryback & only was IC champ briefly.
He's not a great talker. Can be a good worker when motivated. But he's very hurty. Just like Sheamus, but Sheamus can have real good matches if the opponent is right.
If he leaves & goes somewhere like TNA, he'll be champ within 4 weeks. Which will be tough seeing as TNA might fold at any minute & they've taped shows until like November.
Maybe Japan? A-Train sucked & he went to Japan and got over. He certainly wouldn't be the first big man to go over & reinvent himself.

He is certainly more known that Michael Elgin was when he went to Japan for the G1 last year. He isn't nearly as talented, but he can be a monster over there.

During tonight’s WWE Smackdown tapings, Darren Young will be debuting a new gimmick, and he will be paired with WWE Hall of Famer Bob Backlund, who will be returning to WWE TV.
Backlund will be Darren Young’s “life coach”, and the duo will be using the mantra “make Darren great again” which is a riff of Donald Trump’s campaign slogan.
A segment will be airing on WWE Smackdown this week which will see Darren Young asking Bob Backlund for his help, and Backlund in turn will tell Young that wrestling is life.

Whoever came up with that pitch should be fired. That's fucking embarrassing. Backlund is crazy, but not even his craziness will make me care about this.
If they continuously do Trump slogans & phrases, this will be one of the worst things ever in wrestling
Why Darren Young? Why not Sandow?

My guess is because he's an openly gay black male and the company wants the publicity if it takes off(which it won't).

While it's true, WWE would absolutely capitalize on the publicity, Darren Young came out around August of 2013. Aside from the brief tag title run a year ago, they've done nothing with him. Why now? And why pair the openly gay black male (and from what I'm gathering has nothing to do with this gimmick) with a legit lunatic like Backlund?
I've got a bad feeling this will be nothing more than a big commercial for Donald Trump catchphrases.

My guess is Vince came up with the idea. Much like the underlying racism behind Trump's "Make America Great" platform, this is Vince suggesting Darren fix his "gay" problem. Vince prefers gayness be strictly business, like all of his experiences.

Trying to come up with better ways to use guys from the past than the one they are doing with Backlund.
Have Rick Martel come back to mentor Tyler Breeze, who has just lost a big modeling gig & feels he doesn't have what it takes anymore. Martel shows up & begins to help Breeze & in doing so, presents him with his coveted "Yes, I Am A Model" oversized button. Over the course of time, Breeze gains his confidence back & also begins teaching Martel on the new modern technology such as selfie sticks & instagram. Breeze becomes repackaged after being lost in the shuffle & it's all asks to Martel.
I tweeted all this out, tagging Breeze, but it never got a response, because he only replies to morons who insult him or give him weird compliments. Regardless, I was bored & wanted to fantasy book.
Guarantee you what I just pitched there is better than the super random pairing of Backlund/Young.
