NXT Championship Steel Cage Match Samoa Joe vs Finn Balor
NXT Tag Team Championship American Alpha vs The Revival
NXT Women’s Championship Asuka vs Nia Jax
Shinsuke Nakamura vs Austin Aries
Tye Dillinger vs Andrade "Cien" Almas
I assume Trips will make an important announcement regarding NXT. Some think this is literally the end of NXT, which would be the most foolish thing WWE could ever do, seeing as NXT is a driving force behind many subscribers. I see it just meaning this is The End for Finn Balor & a host of others in NXT as they make their way up to the main roster.
I like how some people have thought The End signaled something to do with WWE recently signing one of the better European Indy wrestlers out there in Tommy End. That's certainly not the case.
This will get all my attention tonight. DVR'd the NBA Finals.

I will be watching. What if Vince decided Shane, not Paul, is his son again? Too much showing up the old man with his little Florida indy territory.

The pre-show is really choppy. Anyone else?

I think Aries steals a win tonight, or they do a no contest. Either way, they have a rematch next show for the #1 contendership.
Think all champs retain, La Sombra over Perfect 10 & we get a Finn farewell as Trips gives him the call up, making Joe furious.

Dillinger vs La Sombra to start. Damn I love Dillingers theme.
They said this is The End.....of The Beginning.

That superkick by Dillinger while La Sombra was in the headstand on the top rope was sick!
Solid little opener. You can always count on Dillinger to get new guys over on specials.

What in the hell does the end of the beginning mean?

Never realized the Revival's shirt said Just Fists on the front.
I own quite a few NXT shirts, but not sure I could wear that shirt in public.

What in the hell does the end of the beginning mean? I think this is the beginning of Finn Balor's (and others possibly) career in the WWE. So this is the end of his beginning.
I see more guys transitioning out of NXT & onto the main roster. That's at least what I took from it.

DOUBLE ANKLE LOCKS BY GABLE & JORDAN!!
Dammit, get Kurt in NXT just for 1 show to interact with these two!
Kurt doesn't want to wrestle, make him a mentor for them on the main roster then.

Chad Gable gets beat up so incredibly well, so when the time comes to make the hot tag, it's at the right time & crowd goes nuts.
Both these teams are so damn good. This is simple tag team storytelling & it helps that all 4 are awesome in the ring.

WOW, didn't see that coming one bit! Hell of a shocker! That was a fantastic finish.
Dash has Gable up for a powerbomb, Dawson leaps from the top & Gable caught him in a powerslam. Only time I saw anything remotely like that was Rick Steiner in WrestleMania 9. Terrific match. Even better feud.
Now American Alpha get laid out by Sunny Dhinsa and Gzim Selmani (dressed in generic black attire). Paul Ellering is at the ramp. The fuck?
Very interesting. I want American Alpha vs Revival Round 3, but I wonder if this is a way to write off Jordan/Gable before they get the call?

I'm all for bringing back the manager. However, you have new heel tag champs & new heel tag team attack your babyface team.
If Alpha is feuding with those two, I hope Gargano/Ciampa get the next title shot.

I hate the Full Sail crowd. Singing Nakamura's entrance was cute, but knock that shit off during the match.

Damn fine match. Not as good as the one against Zayn, but damn fine nonetheless.
It's also one thing like the crowd in London, when they'd sing, they came up with clever & entertaining chants. This Full Sail crowd sucks.

That apron move and Aries breaking the guardrail. Yikes.

Yeah I liked the storytelling. Aries could've tried for the countout loss, but he did the dive at the 8 count & it cost him the match. Bet that comes into play at the next TV taping.
They've done a fantastic job building Nia back up after the London loss. That video package was very well done. Which, I guess it's their specialty, but still.

No doubt a conversation between douchebags was had at Full Sail just now...
"Hey guys, let's start a "We Want Eva" chant on 3, ready?" "I don't know if that's such a good idea, bro." "Nah, bro, it'll be fine, we're awesome, people love our chants!" "WE WANT EVA!"
And everyone at home is telling you to politely to go fuck yourselves.

Slow start, Nia is still really green, but she's improving in every match, so I gotta give her credit. Ending picked up & I liked it.
Liked the scream at the end after taking all those kicks, but Asuka just leveled her a few more times & put her away.
Steel Cage is next!

I dug the cage match. Super Muscle Buster off the top rope looked great.
Ranking the matches Tag Match (by a mile, IMO) Nakamura/Aries Cage La Sombra/Dillinger Asuka/Nia

Was hoping for more to happen at the end there, but nope. I think they do that on purpose. You had Roode in the back, etc. You don't always get the expected.
