Someone FINALLY vists the Wyatt Compound. It should have been Cena 3 years ago, but New Day could work.

Nothing Vince does tonight can be as bad as listening to Berman do the HR derby.

Is this Darren young first match since the vignettes? If so he had to win right?

They really seem to be projecting an Uso singles run. Don't care.

Darren Young has been wrestling Miz on house shows. Plus, Backlund is with him.
He's definitely winning this.
Groan.

They should've had Backlund come to the ring after the battle royal. Pretty much a dead giveaway having him out there with him.
Please don't have Darren Young become IC champ heading into the brand split.

Darren Young chants from the Detroit crowd. Why not? Did you see Backlund run when Darren went in for the hug?

Keeping kayfabe here.... Maybe Vince is coming to Raw tonight to tell his kids to stop fucking taking vacations so close to the draft? Feels like it's been 5 weeks since we've seen Shane.

They are doing a good job of making Orton seem like a pretty big deal.

I'm fine with it, but I've just never been a fan of Darren Young as a wrestler. Backlund is the only good thing about this.
Backlund & Maryse interaction should be funny at least.
Hope it isn't a multi-month feud though.

Lesnar/Orton right now is a stupid match no matter what happens.
It doesn't do anything for either one regardless of who wins, and it sure doesn't help the guy that puts the other one over.
Dumb as dumb gets.

Dumb as dumb gets. Totally disagree. It's a wrestlemania main event type match. There's nothing wrong with just having two of your all-time greats go at it. They both deliver 95%+ of the time on the pay per view stage. Not every match has to elevate someone. This is a spectacle match. I'm very much looking forward to it.

Who else would you put Brock against that hasn't been done a bunch before?
The Shield Boys he's already had matches with. Cena he's destroyed Taker he's destroyed Big Show he's destroyed Triple H he's destroyed Jericho? As much as I'd love the promos, I don't want that. Kevin Owens? I would love that, but they haven't positioned KO as a main event guy yet Wyatt? He's already mowed over every Wyatt Family member prior to Bray's injury. Now he's in a tag title feud.
Orton honestly makes the most sense and like I've said before, it's new. Someone Brock has never wrestled on PPV, EVER. I'm all for it.

You have Brock Lesnar being viewed as BROCK LESNAR again. You push him to the moon and make him your biggest fucking draw again. That unfortunately puts Orton in a bad spot because Brock should roll through everyone.

I don't know .... feed him Del Rio .... play up his MMA time too (was he some low-level champ?) .... move Brock away from Suplexing everyone and give it a more grappling feel .... I don't know.
It just seems pointless, on top of the 'what's the benefit of going over' issue, because for a first-ever (on ppv) 'spectacle match', 13 days out neither person appears on TV to work, cut a promo, shit in a bag, whatever.
I don't hate the match, I hate the booking, but that's not new for me. I'm old and hate everything anyway.

Exactly, Brock rolls through Orton. But the fight & effort that Orton puts up will make him still seem like a threat once the match is over.
Make Orton push Brock to his fucking limit. Last time Cena fought Brock, Cena got squashed. Ambrose got steamrolled. Wyatss got steamrolled.
Have Orton get the best of him during the match, put up a hell of a fight, but Brock ultimately wins.
Orton gets the rub. It benefits him IMO.

How does a person obtain footage of themselves that they recorded themselves?
I went out and obtained my car this morning. But, you've owned that car for 7 years. True, and I obtained it this morning to go get a hooker.

You can have Brock beat the shit out of Orton but still have the match go 12 minutes. Let's not forget just a couple summers ago we watched John Cena get his ads kicked in a squash match. Or they can have Orton continue to take a beating but just not got quietly into that good night. Make Orton look strong while Brock still wins. We need to keep in mind they need to sell network buys. Orton-Lesnar hasn't happened. I'm not really for sure what you guys are looking for right now but this makes the most sense right now. To me they are making this match appear as if it's as unpredictable as an MMA match. There are winners and losers and in UFC it doesn't matter who is supposed to win. I feel like they are doing that here with the big match feel. It's not about elevation. It's about draw. Sometimes we need to just enjoy pro wrestling and the actual match. This has potential to be the best match on the card. If that's the case, you still believe it's a bad idea? I think shitting on this before giving it a shot is very grumpy of you all.

Orton coming off an injury for how long now, in his first match back, pushes the baddest person on the planet to his limit?
This makes good sense kayfabe how?

I wouldn't mind that either, but you have to think, Brock will leave again & Orton is still there, presumably as a top face/heel on whatever brand he is on. You could build off "how I pushed Brock to his absolute limit!" to at least make Orton strong in defeat & not just another casualty.
I think they did that with Cena because they needed Brock to look like a monster champion. It did the trick. Not necessary for that now, seeing as everyone knows it again.
