Mr. Robot (Wednesday on USA) is really good. Tech by day/hacker by night is recruited by an anonymous-like group to take down Evil Corp. Yes their name is Evil Corp.
Wayward Pines (Thursday on FOX) isn't bad either. Kind of reminiscent of The Village. Matt Dillon goes looking for 2 fellow Secret Service agents and ends up in Wayward Pines, ID. I can't say much more without ruining it so watch it.
Humans (Sunday on AMC) is a nice surprise. In the near future there are synthetic robots all over. Some are different. Some can feel and think.

Mr Robot is badass. Actually the tech and lingo is pretty spot on too - unlike most shitty shows about hackers *coughcoughScorpionbullshitcoughcough* And its E-Corp but in his mind everyone says Evil Corp. Great use of visuals and the lead character is riveting to watch in this role. He fucking nails it.

Mr. Robot also had it's big twist episode on Wednesday.
Pretty cool. Also I like reading Geek reviews of the tech work in the show.
Watch both of these shows.

I am so confused now on Mr. Robot. The series has been great so far but the way it ended was kind of bullshit with too much still unanswered.

The theory now is Tyrell is another one of Elliot's personalities but I think that's bullshit.
I liked the ending. Especially the after credits scene with White Rose in "straight drag".
Still don't care about Angela though.

I just finished the season (binge watched it over the past 3 days). It sets up season 2 incredibly well.
I don't think Tyrell is another personality, it'd be too much. I think Elliot did kill him with the gun his sister planted. Or maybe his hot wife killed him for not "fixing things" like she had asked?
I was incredibly bummed what happened to Shayla, I liked her, plus she was smoking hot. On the contrary, I can't stand Angela, I don't care about her character at all.
Also couldn't get over the fact that Colby is the dickhead manager from Rookie of the Year, haha.

I'm binge watching this now. It sounds like we have multiple fans, so I started a thread.

I need to avoid these shows because I get wrapped up in them. Luckily, I started on Wayward, and it veered too far for me early in the series. So I quit it quickly.

I'm having a tough time keeping up with everything. I've been distracted with other things which isn't helping. What might I have missed by episode five?

My problem was I watched it all in one day OnDemand, so it all gets jumbled up as to what happens in which episode. If you have the time, I really suggest watching every episode (which I'm assuming you're doing anyway). There are certain major things that happen, unfortunately I can't pinpoint what episode they take place. Last few episodes of the season were total mindfucks. I guess the whole season was, but you know what I mean.
I'll still re-watch the premiere tomorrow.
I realize my response didn't answer your question at all. I'm a big help, I know.

If you saw the full season 2 premiere (both parts) tonight, then this will make sense.
If not, be prepared for this song to get stuck in your head for a few weeks.

I gave the first two episodes of season two a watch despite my earlier comment about avoiding it. Well, it will be the last time I watch it. There is literally nothing I like about the show. I don't have any feelings for the characters. The plot moves along slow. I don't find any of the drama compelling. Some of the dialogue is ok (for instance the black ex-con talking about the history of the arcade building), but nothing to hold me to the show. I am sure I am missing the big picture, but I won't commit another minute to the show to figure it out.
If everyone on the show died, I wouldn't care.....

No it's not a criticism or anything.
I was just wondering.
I think getting to know the characters last season got people invested in them.

They're all fairly bland. And it seems like a lot of misdirection, meaning you see a scene and can't tell whether it's in their head or if it's reality. Way too much thinking for me.
For instance, you have that scene last night with the younger blond girl talking to the boss (Price?) in his office. He wants to book Fox over Bloomberg. That entire scene was vanilla and uninteresting. Then fast forward to the restaurant with those same characters. Really no purpose. It's all weird and unnecessary. Other shows would have had her back in an apartment getting gang banged or something.

That was a weird scene.
The old guy brought her in at the end of season 1. She switched from the "good guys" to Evil Corp. Still don't know what her motivation is outside of thinking she can "change it from the inside". And her mom died because of E Corp and the other 2 guys at dinner supposedly were responsible.

I'd say watch the first few episodes of season 1.
If you aren't invested in characters, then it just isn't for you.

Angela could be the most uninteresting character I've ever seen on TV. Her blank expression, her monotone voice, everything she does, I care 0% about. I don't care if she becomes a major major character this season, she has done ZERO for me.
Every other character I'm completely in to. She is the worst. Every time she talks, I completely zone out.

Yeah she is bad. There's no substance there. She's "generic friend 1" on any TV show.
