I'll put $50 on that Wisconsin Badgers over 17. I spoke to my fellow Wisconsin grad, and he was optimistic on the over. Still looking over that parlay special.

I overheard a guy in the office predicting the Bears will lose by double digits to Jacksonville. It feels like one of those moments where you're waiting in line to place a bet, and you hear two guys talks about their best play and it runs counter to a bet you're about to place. Best advice I can give to people is collect information, but pay little attention to others' picks without info to substantiate their opinion. Arrive at each pick on your own. Had I heard that, I would have asked "why". Then I would evaluate the quality of his info. By the way, if anybody ever wants to know a why of any of my picks, I am happy to share. |

Forget your OSU ticket for a sec. Treat every bet individually. Is Wis +10.5 a strong play for you? If so, then move to the next question: How confident in Wis are you and is it enough to risk diluting your OSU ticket that has a win probability of ~ 75% or higher? The chance of middling is probably around 25% and you have ~50% chance of losing your Wis bet. You would be risking ~75% probable winner for a 25% probable middle and a 50% lose juice outcome. Unless you think Wis has a 75% chance of covering the 10.5, I would not do it.
