So I went to the Ghost BC concert last night in Raleigh and it was a brilliant performance and show. For those not familiar, the band is a Swedish metal band and they have a gimmick. They have their lead singer (Pape Emeritus) who is the anti-Pope and Nameless Ghouls who play the instruments and their mission is to trick people into worshipping Satan by playing catchy melodic metal. Again, its a gimmick so settle down Hawger. It is just executed so brilliantly that it is art. Tremendous musical ability and even more so performance from their front man. I highly recommend going to see just for the experience as it was unlike any other metal show I have ever seen. And their music is actually fucking good including a female bass player who absolutely tore it up and a drummer that was so intense it reminded me of a coked up Dave Lombardo from early Slayer. In fact it was so good they actually played this song as a bumper during the Bears MNF game last week. I know I am usually flying the metal banner solo here but it is worth checking out some of their catalog on youtube. In addition to above, I would recommend Cirice, Ritual, Year Zero, Pinnacle to the Pit, and Monstrous Clock are all excellent songs. And they have one of the best concert shirts I have seen
