Ok, so I had this idea. There's an awesome YouTube channel that posts old wrestling videos/matches called Monsoon Classic. This channel has absolutely everything you could want. From old WWF house shows, to Superstars, Wrestling Challenge, WCW Saturday Nights & Main Events, etc. He has some doozy of matches too, which is hilariously awful.
So I figured to make a thread & post any video/match you want others to see, no matter how good or bad. Just something different. If you like it, awesome, if not, eh, no biggie. I'll get things rolling with a battle of the hosses as...
Meng & Barbarian take on Road Block & Ron Studd (aka The Yeti)

And a not so classic to follow it up.

I had no idea this even took place. Ric Flair vs Steven Regal in the Marquis of Queensbury Cup. It was 5 matches, competed in rounds. Each match was a round that went 5 minutes. It goes to the judges if there isn't a winner via pin or submission. This is incredibly fascinating & cool to watch. Here's Round 1, you can find the other rounds just by letting it play through.
I know TNA has it's Grand Champion fighting in rounds, but this is much cooler than that dogshit company. Regal & Flair are awesome.

What's the saying, "bowling shoe ugly"?
Goldberg nearly kills Meng with a horribly botched powerslam. Then he launched Jimmy Hart into the ring & plants him right on his head as well. Fucking hell this was a brutal looking match. ENJOY! (the Goldberg botches come 8 minutes in).

I need to start contributing here. I will see what I can do this weekend. In a good way, I'm so caught up with Bert v Curt at SummerFest 91'. That was the match that made me realize there was a different form of wrestling. I remember being absolutely blown away and I was too young to know why. But I will provide some shitshows as well.

I know I said post hidden gems & downright awful matches, but I'm more drawn to posting the awful ones, haha. Here's a 8 Man Battle Royal that was on Thunder in 1999. Scott Hudson & Larry Zbysko constantly say on commentary that the winner "gets a golden opportunity", but we never find out what that is. The other 7 should "be prepared to potentially get their walking papers & HEAD UP NORTH".
Steven Regal, Chavo Guerrero, Chris Adams, David Taylor, Jerry Flynn, Prince Iaukea, El Dandy & Scotty Riggs. Jimmy Hart is at ringside, but I have literally no idea which of the 8 men he manages.
The most random group of guys in just a random thrown together battle royal. WCW clearly didn't give two shits about this show.

I will again buck the trend and go with a great match. I just watched Clash of the Champions New York Knockout. Holy shit is Flair v Funk incredible. Honestly, the booking of the entire show is great when you see where they're going. Old school awesome.

Cactus Jack v Mil Mascaras in another match that made me an even bigger fan. How do you make a throwaway match that memorable? Ask Cornette.

The Russians vs. The Road Warriors. NWA TV was always a treat when I was a kid.

Man, I LOVED the Iron Man entrance for the Warriors. Got me PUMPED for the matches. The roof almost came off of the UIC Pavilion whenever they came out at the live events.

This isn't from the Monsoon Classics page, but it's a random match everyone should see. It's not a MOTY or anything like that, but just seeing these two in the ring together is worth your time.
SAVAGE VS LIGER!!

Watching random matches on Monsoon Classic and stumbled upon a dude I'd never heard of. The Lifeguard Steve Collins. Giving a dude like this a gimmick of The Lifeguard is just creepy. The dude he's wrestling looks like Captain Kangaroo.
Reason for me posting this match, is that Dusty is on commentary and he's so distracted at whether or not he can see Collins' junk falling out of his gear the entire match. It's hilarious.
Of course Collins beats Kangaroo by nearly murdering him. As you'd expect.

Hell of a drop kick by Buddy Valentine. He's a cross between Playboy Buddy Rose and King Kong Bundy. Much better than the drop kick in the hip by the lifeguard.

Watched an Arn Anderson vs Alex Wright match and found this spot (yes this is what eventually led to me posting the Alex Wright gif in the other thread). Double A was fucking awesome. And despite not really going anywhere in WCW, Alex Wright was wrestling legit top name guys in 95-96 before the NWO kicked in. He was only like 19, so while he wasn't that good, it was pretty impressive the caliber of guys he was in there with. And no I don't mean the Paul Roma match where Roma refused to put him over & got himself fired because of it.
But then you have spots like these where, I have no idea what the hell Das Wunderkind was doing. The elevation on this is ridiculous.
