Not surprised. Shawn's done. And why wouldn't WWE give it a try.

If we were to ever get Shawn to come out of retirement for 1 match, it would've been for Daniel Bryan. And he didn't end up doing it in 2013, so if it didn't happen then, it's never going to happen.
As much as I'd love to see AJ/Shawn, I agree with Woodridge, that ship has sadly sailed.
That said, even the slightest possibility of AJ/Shawn happening makes me even more annoyed we're getting Shane/AJ at Mania.

Oh that started because Warrior looked different when he came back.
It was always Jim Hellwig.

Also don't forget he came back still jacked up, yet wore a singlet that had muscles airbrushed on it. Made zero sense.

I am still holding out a sliver of hope that it's AJ vs Nakamura. He just said that night after the ass kicking..."You didn't have a WM opponent, Well now you do". He never said "and that opponent is me". He never once said "AJ Styles vs Shane McMahon at WrestleMania". Or maybe I don't want that match happening at all, so I blocked that out.

What exactly is balor doing? He has had some dark matches IIRC lately yet is MIA from mania & tv.

Who is Joe fighting? Have we figured that out yet? I can't recall.

Here's my fantasy booking & how you can get everyone involved (fantasy being the keyword, because certain things will NEVER happen)... -Trips vs Rollins in a "non-sanctioned street fight" -Steph gets involved, but Foley shows up & gives her Mr. Socko (again, fantasy, like Vince will ever let anything happen to his baby girl) -Trips knocks Foley out (safely because Mick's about to have surgery) -Rollins makes a comeback, but Samoa Joe shows up & beats the fuck out of Rollins (play up how Joe was the one who injured Rollins) -Balor shows up & wipes out Joe with a 1916, slowly turns & takes out Hunter with a running dropkick & Coup de Grâce -Rollins pins Hunter (preferably with a sledgehammer shot) and we have Rollins, Balor & Foley standing tall over Joe, Trips & Steph
Yes there are a lot of run-ins, but it's Mania, who gives a fuck? Plus it's non-sanctioned, what are they going to do? It makes everyone look strong, Authority defeated and Rollins & Balor are your babyfaces for the brand post Mania (depending on whatever the fuck they do with Roman).

Instead of Foley, since we don't want man on woman violence, I thought about giving the rub to a female. Foley attacks Hunter, Steph is yelling, attacks Foley, and a female comes out to attack Stephanie to a huge pop. But who? I even considered Noelle, but why are we giving the rub to a non-performer? I can't really think of anyone?

I mean, they already did that with Rousey. Unless she shows up, but her star is nowhere near as bright as it once was. I'd still be 100% fine with that over Noelle (who I'd prefer not to see in a wrestling ring honestly).
Then again all Foley would be doing is putting a sock in her mouth. It's not really violence. But I get your point.
It'd get a huge pop though.

Stone Cold didn't make Vince piss himself and leave for a year.

Agreed, then again, it's not like whoever gets the slightest one over on Stephanie would be in an actual program with her or Trips to continue it post Mania anyway.
Funny thing is I watched the Mania 31 segment with Rousey and we all think she embarrassed Steph, all she did was grab Steph by the arm & caused her to scream loudly. That's it. Trips was the one who got flipped.
It's sad the amount they've protected Stephanie of all people over the years. Vince always got his eventually, just like Austin would get his revenge. They evened each other out & that's what made it great. You never knew who would get the better of either person. With Steph, it's pretty much you know she's going to berate you & never have to suffer payback. It sucks.

She loses the title, Steph makes that happen, and she helps Mick (who shouldn't even be in the "arena") during the scrap. Love it. It would be subtle, because we only think she's losing her push. PRONOUNS PAL. Bayley is losing her push. It's ultimately OK, but WM should have been Bayley beating Charlotte's PPV streak. First Championship win. That was clearly where they were going until Vince had a bad protein bar.

Fuck just redo the Austin-McMahon storyline.
Bayley as Austin Steph as McMahon Sasha as Rock
Build it all the way to SummerSlam.
Steph keeps stacking the odds against Bayley with the newly heeled BOSS Champion.
Then Bayley finally gets by Sasha and gets her hands on Steph.
Fuck.

Vince: INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS PAL. FUCK YOU.

Hopefully they realize that it's too late in the game to put Taker's career on the line at Mania.
Have the retirement match at Survivor Series where it all began.

This is why we should maybe just stop watching for a while after Mania Raw. It's not about the product. It's about fucking money.
Former WWE writer Kevin Eck talked about how John Cena almost turned heel in 2012, during an interview with PWTorch.com. “We were very close. We had Vince sign off on it at one point and Cena was on board to do it. We started making plans for it and then Vince got cold feet – we had just signed an exclusive Cena merchandise deal with Walmart.”
Eck said that Vince came into a booking meeting with the head writers and told everyone, “I know you guys really want to do this but we just can’t do it.” Eck said another problem was that Vince didn’t feel there was another guy to replace Cena as the top babyface. Eck reflected on the discussion at the time, “CM Punk was over but he can’t be THE guy and it can’t be Randy Orton because he hates people.” Eck said Sheamus was being groomed to be the top babyface at one point but felt that Vince did more to hurt Sheamus’ character than help.
Eck summed up the Cena situation by stating, “Vince not only considered it, he was almost there to pull the trigger on it.”
