Owens/Jericho was terrific.
Everything about the cruiser segment sucked ass.

Nia/Bayley was significantly better than I was anticipating.

Cruisers were ok. Tony Nese deserves better. I still wonder how much that purple tape costs.

I would just like to say that the Review A Raw guys were much more in tune with my assessment of the show than you haters.

What was good aside from Joe/Sami & KO/Jericho seg? I'm more annoyed than usual at this show because this is the A brand. This is TWO WEEKS BEFORE MANIA and this is the kind of show we got. It was terrible. I mean, for God sake, Brock was backstage (again) and they didn't use him. They aired the same highlight package TWICE on the same show for their match.
Dana/Charlotte could've been the worst WWE women's match this year. Nia/Bayley was Nia beating up Bayley the whole match & the crowd couldn't have cared less. Handicap match was a joke TJP/Kendrick went 90 SECONDS! Embarrassing. Aries/Nese was fine, but it was literally a carbon copy of their match on 205 Live. Strowman/Roman was their match at Fastlane, just cut down 10 minutes.
So much backstage bullshit on this show too. I'm more annoyed looking back on the show than I was last night. If this was 2 weeks out from Payback or Hell in a Cell, then fine, whatever, I'd expect this kind of Raw, but damn, this is WrestleMania 2 weeks away.
Smackdown (while pretty damn bad itself last week) needs to be better. 12 days away from Mania & we're getting more filler than actual storylines, it sucks.

I liked Foley and Sami's portions of the opening segment. Loved the Joe/Sami match. Loved the KO/Jericho segment. Thought the opening couple of seconds with New Day was funny (it was terrible after that) Enjoyed the Nia/Bayley match. Also enjoyed Reigns/Strowman. Nese/Aries was fairly solid. Corey got some nice shots in on Byron throughout the show.
It wasn't a great Raw by any stretch of the imagination but it worked enough for me I guess. Also helps to DVR the whole thing and plow through highlight packages and the like.

I will say that fast forwarding through the bullshit has made Raw far more enjoyable in the past (I should maybe do it more often). It sure as shit beats sitting through 3+ hours every week.
Definitely not going to criticize what you liked & don't like, but I just didn't get anything out of the Foley/Steph/Sami segment or the Nia/Bayley stuff. I've tried my hardest to drowned out all the commentary on Raw altogether.
Just severely disappointed at the show, as I said, for being 2 weeks out from your Super Bowl, it seemed like they phoned it in, which they do far too often.
I did on the 1st page say I'd like 2-3 segments. Which ended up being true. 2 segments (well, 1 segment & 1 match)

I maintain that the DVR watching is what I attribute to the difference in perception. There must have been a good 45 minutes to an hour of highlight packages that I fast forwarded through. Along with recaps and replays. That makes a huge difference.
Now don't get me wrong. I hate the direction/build of nearly every match on both brands for Wrestlemania. So I just try to take each show for what it is at this point.

I don't understand Punk chants. Still hate Sami's hat but at least no fruity dance this time. He is awesome. They dress the dude up like he works the drive thru at some shitty themed 80's fast food joint & he still gets the crowd going.

They're Ziggler'ing him.

I was about 95% sure I was gonna hate Foley as a GM but I've loved his entire 9 month run. Stephanie is just like Heyman to me. If this was one of the first 100 times that you had seen either one of them, you be mesmerized by how well they do their job. But it's like the 10,000th time now and it's always the same thing. 11 and 3/4 months out of the year Steph and/or Trips runs roughshod over the roster. Then somebody maybe gets one shining moment against them and then it's right back to the old formula. Dude, what the hell did you enjoy about Foley during this run? It was awful and boring as shit. He was at no point entertaining whatsoever. Did you watch every segment of Foley's out of your garage?

I liked that he wasn't a big goofy oaf like he's been for the past 10 years. (I also like that he cleaned up his act and doesn't look homeless and pathetic) I have never been a Foley fan. I am now.

I'm with KS. I thought Foley was solid after they modified his promos. When he was forced to memorize things so Steph could remind/make fun of him, it was rough. When he started bringing out that old Foley passion I was into it. Not every week. But here were some good moments.
