Go home show for a PPV and you have Miz vs arguably 2 of your top babyfaces in a handicap match (2 of those 3 guys aren't even booked in a match on the PPV). The worst part of this, is that MIZ GOT A BUNCH OF OFFENSE IN! It's a handicap match, Miz is a chicken shit heel, why in the world should he be getting any offense in?
Also you end the show with Bray Wyatt, who is in the middle of threatening to essentially murder Orton (SD's babyface) on Sunday, standing tall with a babyface pop after laying out Miz? It also doesn't make sense after Wyatt SENT SOMEONE TO GIVE MIZ A MESSAGE earlier in the show saying he'd be his partner.
If this was a segment in the 8 o'clock hour in the first or 2nd Raw after a PPV, then whatever, but go home show? Just seemed like they said fuck it (which I think they said about 95% of this show).

I think you put waaaaay too much thought into that. First off, I don't really care if it's the "Go home show" (a phrase I hate by the way) I just take each show, each segment for what they are. I don't really look forward and I don't really try to make sense of much because why should I? The E doesn't. So I don't kill myself over particulars. I just try to enjoy what I can. I enjoyed Miz, Ambrose & Jericho earlier in the show so it was fun to see them again. Did you want to see Jericho/Ambrose just beat Miz down, pin him and call it a day? I have no problem with Miz getting in some offense. Also, any one of these appearances by Jericho can easily be his last so I'm savoring what I can. I also found it a bit suspenseful wondering if or when someone would actually show up to team with Miz. Wyatt standing on the announce table after the lights came back on was pretty damn cool in my estimation. For as much crappy stuff that they give Bray to do, I thought last night was an entertaining way to use him comparatively speaking. If I can't like a closing segment of Jericho, Ambrose, Miz and Wyatt, then why do I even watch? |

If the whole plan was for Miz to wrestle in a handicap match, then they should've had him be a chicken shit. He does that perfectly. Angle just said, your partner isn't here, now wrestle. Miz just took his orders, something he should never do. He should've been running & hiding, like a wuss. No reason should he have gotten any more than 1-2 moves tops on either man. Hit & run like a pussy, until he gets caught & beat up.
Wyatt standing at the table was cool, I agree, but the rest was bad. We got a no contest in the match because Wyatt laid everyone out (he has zero association with any of these guys & has been cutting promos on FINN BALOR the past 2 weeks, not these guys). My question is, why do you agree to be Miz's partner? Why send a person with a note? Just dumb writing.
That's fine you don't like the go home term, but in no way would you watch that main event and think that there was actually a PPV happening this Sunday, which again, is bad writing. The main event segment on your main brand should make you WANT to see the PPV, but they didn't do that, which is why it annoys me so much.
Honestly, I'd rather have had Strowman vs Kalisto in the main event slot. It was silly with that 6 foot fall, but it'd make Strowman look like a monster still and he'd hospitalize another worker before the PPV. My God if he did that to Kalisto & did what he did to Reigns a few weeks ago, what could be in store for Roman come Sunday?
