This was a big issue when Punk walked out. Nobody could, or would, give him an answer about PPV payouts.

Ziggler's new deal is reportedly for 2 years, $1.5 million per year.
Have a hard time imagining him making close to 3 million anywhere else for 2 years. I'm sure he's more than happy jobbing constantly for that much money.
Wonder why they want to keep him so badly? Are they worried he'd become a big star elsewhere? I mean it's not like he's a big merch guy for WWE either. Clearly they don't have major plans for him aside from an IC/US Title level (at least not since 2013).

Rich Swann and WWE have mutually agreed to part ways as of today, February 15, 2018.
WWE wishes Swann the best in all of his future endeavors.
Weird, he was cleared from the arrest too.

Separate brand PPVs are over after WrestleMania.
So that lasted what, not even 2 years?

If only they setup a way where everyone gets more airtime to become stars. Oh, wait.

Liked the concept of bringing it back, but their inability to make stars is what dicked them over again. I just thought they'd give it longer than they did.
That 6 star bit has been ran into the ground as much as me calling Dave my best friend, haha

What's the deal with Wade Keller talking about the New Day & pancakes? He has a hard on for New Day for some reason. It sounded like there was a whole spiel or show about how the pancakes are racist or something like that. I didn't feel like looking any further into it.

I guess I haven't paid all that much attention to him and he may already have this but please tell me one of his moves is called the Apollo Landing.

Wikipedia says his finisher (the spinning backdrop/sitout powerbomb thing he does) is called The Chariot. Though I've never actually heard it called that seeing as the only matches they have him win are with a rollup of some variety.
If only he could talk better & was a few inches taller, he'd have been at least a multi-time US/IC champ already.

Hey, it's not Taker, so I'm fine with it. Rey looked in great shape at the Rumble.
And it's something new, even better.

I know many of you like Rey Rey for some reason but I just have to say that I find Brock Lesnar to be more appealing than dang Mysterio. (And I can't stand Lesnar at this point)

I don't think this is a very pro-Mysterio board. I think WWE is trying to find things for Danny Busch to be angry about. I have no interest in a Cena/Mysterio match, but I'd rather have that shit if it means Taker stays retired.

WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz is now scheduled to defend his title in a Fatal 5 Way at WrestleMania 34, according to Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated.
The match is currently scheduled to feature Miz, Elias, Braun Strowman, Seth Rollins and Finn Balor.
They took the original Mania plan for Braun and somehow made it worse.

Rey didn't look like a pile of crap stuffed into a garbage bag at the rumble. I don't have any interest in seeing him but I probably wouldn't turn it off like I would have when he was a fat/hobbled wreck.

I just don't like Rey whatsoever. I think it's a combination of things and it just really adds up for me. First off I'm not crazy about smaller wrestlers. Yes I know that Jericho, Styles, Eddie aren't all that much bigger but Rey just seems so damn small. Plus he's pretty damn flippy and that's another thing I don't much care for. Plus he was always a shitty promo. Plus I don't really like Lucha or mask guys as I feel it really detracts from sort of connection you have to a wrestler. facial expressions, etc.... you don't get that with a mask. Now this may sound hypocritical after saying what I just said but it was even worse when they unmasked him!!! Anyway, I hate his finisher. Nobody ever just lays on the damn second rope like that. It's so dumb. I hate his freaky eye contacts that he wears. HATE THOSE. And basically I've REALLY REALLY hated him (before that it was only a mild hate) ever since they had him beat Kevin Nash (who I'm not even a fan of) in WCW. That little pipsqueak could never beat Nash in real life and it was all a bit too much for me. I also couldn't stand him in that lame ass group he was in with Konnan. He also main evented the Wrestlemania in Rosemont that KS Jr and I went to so my gosh do I hate him with all my heart.
Other than that, I suppose he's ok.

I don't even know where to begin. I can't believe the defense of Rey Mysterio is going to be from the creator of the "LCW" moniker. When Mysterio first came to the US, he was unlike anything I'd ever seen. Granted I was a different age, but there's nothing on today's show that could draw my attention like a Mysterio match in 1996. There were plenty of cruisers, but he was next level. Much of the stuff we grew to dislike about him is a product of the wrestling business. Some is listed in earlier posts. Everyone, including Mysterio himself, had to figure out how to monetize him. Mask removal, etc. The biggest example of it was getting on the gas. At which point he's just a short masked guy doing a couple things occasionally. But guess what? That's when they gave him the World Title. So who can argue? The act has been tired for years. But kids still like him. Not everyone is supposed to be developed for adults who shouldn't still be watching wrestling.

I realize I'm not going to change your mind on what you think of him, but your reasons as to why are sort of odd to me.
-You listed guys like Eddie, Jericho & AJ, but said you don't like flippy guys. -He's never been a strong promo, but does he need to be? He's always the underdog no matter what, so it limits him as to what kind of promos he can cut. It's always going to be an underdog promo, unless it's a different storyline (ie feud with Eddie) -I disagree with the mask detracting from connecting with fans. If anything that means the actual wrestling they do is what connects with fans, which is a good thing to me. -He wasn't as marketable without a mask & I think when he wore horns at the end of WCW it was stupid, I can't defend that at all. -They had Rey beat Nash the night after he unmasked at the PPV. Nash had beat the shit out of him with Luger for the past month & this was how they booked him to get his win back, despite losing the mask, which I disagree with. So was it dumb, yes, but I understood it.
All the stuff you listed was from WCW, but he never did the 619 in WCW. Regardless, your sweetheart Roman loads his fist up & punches the mat before doing his superman punch and looks equally as silly, but eh it is what it is.
I will say that I didn't like Rey at the end of WCW, HATED how they booked him as champ in 2006 and thought after the CM Punk feud, everything he did in WWE was forgettable. Aside from those things, I still think he's one of the all time greats.
To me, the positives far outweigh the negatives.

There was a time and place for Rey Mysterio. I haven’t cared about him or missed him in the last ten years.

In related news the sky is blue, water is wet & grass is green.
