I went in with pretty low expectations and enjoyed the experience. I don't want to give anything away. Donald Glover killed it.

This is the first Star Wars movie I haven't seen opening weekend. That makes me sad. I'll probably take the kids next weekend.

This is the first Star Wars movie I haven't seen opening weekend. That makes me sad. I'll probably take the kids next weekend.  |

I saw it Friday night. The guy who played Solo must be a Leonardo DiCaprio fan because he had so many of DiCaprio's mannerisms.
Overall, I liked the movie. I thought the Lando actor was very good especially his voice. The story was pretty easy and fun. It filled in the back stories of stuff that was referenced in the earlier movies. I put it at 2.5 stars.

I enjoyed the hell out of it. I thought the guy did fine as Han Solo - don't understand all the fuss beforehand of the studio saying he couldn't act. And young Lando was terrific. Would love to see him in his own movie.

Some cool stuff from out of nowhere too (Teras Kasi!) and nice to see Maul in live action films again and continuing his storylines from Clone Wars and Rebels. Some of the complaints about the fem-bot are valid, but most seem to be over the top. And Emilia Clarke was surprisingly good. |
