Oh, so they're putting their World Champion in a segment on a show that does not have a set start time, and many people may not see.

(I didn’t see this post before I posted in the Collision thread)
I think they’re banking on having so many viewers post game. There will be more eyes then than maybe halfway through the show.
I get it.

It's a cool idea to try and get a bunch on new eyeballs.
And it's smart putting your black Champion on instead of fat Chis Jericho like they did last time.
Hopefully it leads to something and not people changing the channel looking for the last game of the night on ABC.

I don't trust that they had a plan for Swerve beyond beating Joe for the title. Hope they prove me wrong.

The main focus of the company for the foreseeable future is going to be The Elite, right? That means your World Champion is at best second-fiddle.
I'm not sure that's the best way to present your first black World Champion.

Putting Ospreay in the International picture is actually a good way to keep him out of the World title hunt. He’s with AEW for the long haul, does he need to be crowned champ at Wembley this year?
Maybe Swerve gets a lengthy run (he should).

Also, acting as if this somehow explains away the ludicrous decision to have your new champion wrestle a back and forth match with a glorified jobber is certainly a choice.

Maybe Swerve gets a lengthy run (he should). Should Ospreay win a tertiary title like the International Title? He obviously shouldn't lose. Then you are into a schmoz finish. Which could work, and luckily AEW doesn't do that often.

I mean, he could elevate (no pun intended) the title and make it the secondary title before he challenges for the World.
Having him as the International champ when AEW goes international does make sense

That's tough but as long as he is guaranteed to come back to AEW, I'll wait as long as necessary.

Darby was hit by a bus in New York.
He shook it off and went to a play.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that Julia Hart has been sidelined with an injury. Sapp writes that she has had a few injury problems recently, and she is expected to be off of television. Sapp writes that the early indications are that Hart would require surgery. However, specifics are currently unclear. The report notes that Hart is not currently planned for upcoming AEW television tapings.
As for Powerhouse Hobbs, Sapp confirms that he has suffered an injury. Per sources, it is said to be significant, and he is not expected back any time soon.

AEW hired a guy in charge of the Rodeo as their new Director of Live Events.
As unconventional as it seems, I like it.

They need to turn the Darby thing into storyline and say Juice Robinson became a bus driver during his time off. Dude already looks like Dr. Teeth from the Muppets.
Feel really bad for Hobbs, the match with Mox suffered greatly last week, but there was nothing they could do. Credit him for finishing it, but hopefully it’s not a long term injury.
Julia has been hurt for a while, so I’m surprised they went through with the match at Dynasty. Credit her also for getting through it and dropping the title. She’s someone who can cut promos and (please start doing these again) creepy vignettes while she’s out for House of Black

Former NWA Women's champion Kamille has signed with AEW, per Fightful.
Do they need more women on the roster? I liked Kamille and her size, but man she's gonna get lost on the roster.

I would not be shocked if they have womens tag titles at some point.
Do they need it, no, but I wouldn’t be surprised.
I like Kamille, maybe they have her in ROH instead for a while to get ring time?

I've never heard of Kamille, but I like her look. She could be very marketable if they don't screw her up.

What's Leyla Hirsch doing these days? Pair her with Kamille. You're welcome, Tony.

Leyla Hirsch had that look. Kind of like Ivy Nile on NXT.
You could do a lot with them, especially in a group.

Genuine question, how long has Eric had a deal with WWE for merchandising? Over the past year there’s been multiple Eric action figures and also he’s in the trading card sets.
If it’s the past year, it’s a little coincidental Eric, who has made appearances for AEW in the past, is shitting on it any and every chance he gets.
Does he say anything bad about WWE, like ever?
