Braun making that noise while he runs sometimes sounds like a Tie-Fighter.
Dolph Zigler is the wrestling version of Jack Burton.

He might pick Drew and at some point between now and then, Dean somehow gets the belt.
I liked that less and less the more I typed. I suffered through it, you can too.

Good Rumble. Bad night for us brothers if I'm being honest. Andrade Cien Almas is a STAR. Seth Rollins is ready to be the face of the company.

Few thoughts. My Becky scenario was better. No reason to have her tap. You don't need her passing out in a pool of her blood. But better ways to get there.
That entire women's rumble was a kick in the crotch. It doesn't help when it's part of a seven hour show.
On that note, I know asking for less content sounds odd. But stop this fucking PPV length. NOBODY wants it.
JJ was great. But that's the only surprise? You could replace Hawkins with Brooklyn Brawler and had the crowd more into the show.
Lesnar v Finn was really well done. That's about it.

Another disappointing Rumbel.
I get Brock beating Balor. But why bury Finn after the match? They aren't going to have another match, so all it does is reinforce the idea that Balor is a joke.
Womens rumble way too long. Mens rumble way too boring.
Knew Erik Rowan was helping Bryan when he came out in flannel.
Lone good spots were Mustafa Ali in the Rumble and Becky winning.

Way to shit on your IC champion. Yeah. The Lashley spot had me scratching my head. Perhaps he and Rollins will have a stop-gap match at Elimination Chamber. Rollins will probably put his title shot championship opportunity on the line or something.

I don't understand why people are so pissed about Becky losing to Asuka?
Now that Becky has won the Rumble, she either choose to fight someone she wanted to face for months in Ronda or avenge her submission loss to Asuka.
I don't think it made Becky look weak, if anything it made Asuka look strong. The end of the night you had Becky look strong winning the Rumble and Asuka has a major win over Becky. Becky is going to want that win back.

I don't think it made Becky look weak, if anything it made Asuka look strong. Agreed. To your point, Asuka was so badly damaged in 2018 by the Carmella program that I think it's necessary for her to win as many matches as possible this year. Hell, let Asuka hold the title till SummerSlam. And Becky is the most over wrestler in the company right now. A clean loss to an equally strong competitor doesn't hurt her at all.

I listened to Agnew & Lovranski's post Rumble show. They said Sasha held up the four fingers in Ronda's face post match to signify she's a former 4 time Women's champion. Zero mention of the Horsewomen.
They're idiots.

Becky is going to want that win back. Asuka is not someone you're trying to make a face of the company. Perhaps WWE isn't trying to do it with Becky either. Asuka can be rebuilt with a couple month winning streak at any time. It just happened. Memories are short. But if you're trying to build THE star, it doesn't happen with 50/50 booking. I've heard the Austin/Bret comp. The difference is Becky didn't pass out in a pool of her own blood. Not that I wanted to see that happen. It was also one year prior. Imagine if Stone Cold tapped out clean to Ken Shamrock in the opening match of the 98 Royal Rumble, then worked his way in at 29 to win the Rumble and go to Mania.

I just think it gives Becky options. Does she want to avenge the loss like I said and fight for HER Smackdown Title that she never lost or does her feud with Ronda become priority number 1. Having Becky lose due to cheating would make her look weak as well, Asuka would look weak lucking into a win too.
Fully expect Asuka to remain champ heading into Mania, so tapping Becky is fine to build a credible champion. Even if that credible champion lost to Carmella on PPV last year (then again, so did Charlotte).
If Becky would've passed out, she wouldn't have been in the Rumble later in the night.

All this said, I have a bad feeling Charlotte is going to lobby for a title match at Mania due to Becky not officially being in the match and Fit Finlay having no actual authority to make the call to let Becky take Lana's spot. Thus Charlotte should've been the winner.

Imagine if Stone Cold tapped out clean to Ken Shamrock in the opening match of the 98 Royal Rumble, then worked his way in at 29 to win the Rumble and go to Mania. I’m with DropIn on this. I get everything you’re saying random, but the issue is a clean tap out. When you are a white hot babyface, you don’t tap out clean. Get pinned, whatever. School boy pin, whatever. Clean tap with the momentum she has? I still think it’s bad booking. Love DropIn’s example... Now with that said, the only way they can save this is if Rhonda uses this as a reminder throughout that if she tapped to Asuka, then how does she not tap to the baddest woman on the planet? So from a storytelling purpose, this can still work. Becky can doubt herself a bit. Story to be told there. If they don’t use it, then that is absolutely the dumbest finish for a whitehot babyface. Hogan, HBK, Austin, Rock...find moments when they tapped out cleanly when they were whitehot babyfaces. I’m not sure you can? It’s not about her losing. It was an odd way for her to lose.

Im not saying it was the right move, I'm saying I understood why they did it. You want Asuka to look strong, no other way to do that than tapping Becky. This was a tough spot all around because if it was a throwaway finish, the match looks weak. If there's interference Asuka looks weak. If it's a flash pin then your champ lucked into a win. There was no way around it if the plan was to make Asuka look like a strong champion. Becky tapping rather quickly caused her not to be damaged later in the night. Had she passed out or they did an injury with the arm, she would've been out. Trust me I don't like they tapped her clean, but I'm actually fine with it considering where they were going later in the night.
Miss you Woodridge, start commenting in this joint more. I've given up on KS doing the right thing in giving NXT a chance. I know you appreciate it so you should join the NXT talk whenever it's going on and you're free. Takeover this past weekend was fantastic. Give it a watch if you haven't.
