I just gotta say. Not sure why there's any kinda hate of Mox in AEW. Ok, maybe he bled a bit too much for awhile there. His in ring is far superior to that of his prior employment. Same with his promos. Not to mention his physique. His story/struggles has been compelling. His debut was probably the best AEW has ever done. Just not sure why I'm supposed to be apathetic to this man.

You don't have to be apathetic to him at all.
His garbage matches weren't my thing. He seemed to want to only do those kind of matches for a long time. His promos were basically as nonsensical as his matches for a while there, too.
I'm intrigued (at least a little) about his new character. I think they need to get it out there sooner rather than later what his deal is.

I like him having a bit of a governor on him. His promos are wildly hit or miss for me.

Moxley doesn’t view himself as a villain, he’s trying to save AEW from what it’s become. People shouldn’t be dancing and having fun, they need to get back to where they were when they started.
Bryan Danielson had to be sacrificed for him to become champion and start being the face of the company again. Anyone who stands in his way will suffer as a result.
I like it, it’s simple, makes him come off as a somewhat hypocritical heel and has young guns like Darby, Orange, Garcia & Private Party stepping up. Some will have to be beaten mercilessly to get the BCC’s message across (Top Flight, Andretti, Dark Order, etc), but when the time comes for the BCC to lose, it’ll be that much better.
Marina has been beating dudes up left and right lately. AEW needs to get a woman involved on their “side”. Who better than Willow in that regard?

633,000/0.20
Similar to NXT, I think AEW settles in around 650,000 on a weekly basis.

Kamille vs Aminata tonight.
They have to eventually give Aminata a meaningful win on AEW TV. I said this last week in my recap, she’s stuck in this role where she gets a few squash wins, but loses higher profile matches too often.
Would I beat Kamille a week before she faces Stat? No. But Aminata deserves a win over a top name to at least give her some cred.

This seems to be the problem AEW has when trying to create new stars. They get them right to the cusp, but then back off for whatever reason.

Yup and it’s because they’re not in the feud they’re building to, so someone has to job to multiple people that isn’t the next challenger. Aminata has felt like that person multiple occasions.
You have so many girls on the roster or just have an extra do work. Unless they want Kamille to have a competitive match, then I get it. Still there are other girls you could use to eat a pin.
Stat is the next challenger for Mercedes. Would it be a bad thing for them to have a tag match Stat/Aminata vs Mercedes/Kamille and you ultimately have Aminata pin Mercedes?
But then it’d make no sense for Stat to be the one to get the next shot. Aminata could have that first pin on Mercedes (albeit a tag match) under her belt and hold it over Mercedes.

If only they had a ranking system they could utilize to book months in advance...

Full Gear isn’t until the end of November.
Kamille beats Aminata this week Stat beats Kamille next week Stat/Aminata beat Kamille/Mercedes in 2 weeks (Mercedes/Stat brawl and Aminata pins Kamille)
Kamille takes two losses in a row, but this could give Mercedes a reason to question her heater (yes I know it’s early) if she has what it takes to stay in the role?
Cut to Full Gear, Mercedes defends against Stat with Kamille’s help. Aminata has the win over Kamille and you can build off that if you want.
I don’t know, fantasy booking for sure, but it’d just be nice for Aminata to get a win

This is a great discussion because most people don't know/care about ROH. I certainly don't. Stacking wins there or being a champion there should not mean anything in AEW.
WCW mastered this with their cruiserweights. They would all beat each other except whoever was going to get pushed would stack the wins to get the title shot. Kept it fresh and always elevated everyone. Tony needs to rewatch the Malenko/Psychosis/Jericho/Eddie title swaps to learn how to do this.

Spot on analysis, Jack.
I think it's pretty simple: Tony gets excited about a toy, plays with it for a while, then gets bored and tosses it aside in favor of the newer shinier toy. Rinse and repeat.
Dude's attention span seems to be nonexistent.

So you'd think that they'd remember how they were all able to get over 30 years ago.

I agree on the ROH records not really meaning anything on AEW, unless you really make it special if/when they’re used.
Athena is literally 60-2 in ROH since starting there pretty much exclusively in 2022. The two losses were tag matches with Billie Starkz. That storyline theyve really been building for over a year at this point. Billie will be the one who beats Athen finally. Most likely at Final Battle.

I like them actually building Athena up over the last 2 years, and it's been good to see a coherent plan. But honestly nobody really cares about ROH now. Probably less people than care about TNA. I want that logic applied to a guy (or girl) on AEW. And not an established name. Use it to make a new star.

HOOK unveils the attacker of his father tonight
Curveball, what if it’s not Christian like people assumed.
What if…it’s Ricky Starks? Someone who has had a ton of history with HOOK & Taz.
This is just me trying to book Ricky back on TV before he inevitably goes to NXT. It just feels like Tony is trying to run out his contract at this point. I always wonder if being shown going nuts for Cody at Mania had anything to do with it. I know he should be able to celebrate his best friend, but still.
