Oney Lorcan supposedly asked for his release.
He probably won't get it.

Word is they're potentially going to start letting guys go when asking for their release but have a clause where they can't go to AEW (and potentially other major companies) for the duration of their contract.
So for example Revival wants to leave but has like 2 years left on their WWE contract, they wouldn't be able to show up for a major company for 2 years.
What's sad is some of these guys I'm sure are just praying they don't get hurt and WWE holds them hostage for the time added on their contracts that they missed like Harper.

In all seriousness though, I think Tony Khan and people from AEW should refrain from tweeting at WWE personalities. I think it's a bad look. Just stay in yo lane and do what you do.

Oh look, spaz boy removed his nose from the Young Bucks' asses long enough to pretend he has balls. Be careful Tony, Randy might knock the autism out of you.

CM Punk: Renee, who's your favorite Shield member?

CM Punk: Renee, who's your favorite Shield member? This definitely has potential but Promo School segment was rough. And Paige is pretty bland and doesn't have a lot of anything interesting to say. Punk calling out Seth was entertaining though

Promo School needs to be scrapped forever. It's a segment used to get a line & make a meme/gif and post on Twitter.
Paige also rambles.
Punk shitting on the awful Corbin segment made me happy.
Renee deserves a raise for doing her job so well.

Lana signed a new 5 year deal.
Contract allows her to take time off for outside projects. I assume that's movies, TV, Brazzers, etc.
Rusev is said to be still in negotiations but I assume where Lana goes he goes.

Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline.com noted the following regarding how Vince McMahon currently feels about Humberto Carrillo:
"Vince is done with Humberto Carrillo for the time being. He’s giving him the ‘Cedric Alexander.’ Like you’re still gonna see him on TV. I’m sure he’s gonna win here and there, but like it’s exactly like Cedric Alexander. He got a few weeks, Vince thought he wasn’t getting over, so he’s just — he’s done."
Thanks to RingsideNews.com for the quote.
- This week's WWE RAW, coming off the Survivor Series PPV, drew 2.109 million viewers. Last week's RAW drew 2.127 million viewers and RAW from 11/26/18 drew 2.368 million viewers. Here were the hourly numbers:
2.241 2.190 1.896

He didn't do a thing for me to be honest. Then again I've missed several shows as of late so who knows.

He was given 3 weeks, zero vignettes or promos (aside from talking to the random robot backstage maybe once) to get over. He was coming to RAW pretty much cold being just another 205 Live guy (who has really good matches, but unfortunately is forgotten on that show).
He really didn't have a chance before Grandpa Vince's dementia made him toss the toy to the side & forget about him.
I had hopes with Heyman booking, but when Vince is the final say, it's never good for new babyfaces.
Have him turn heel and join up with Andrade.

Have him turn heel and join up with Andrade. Bingo. WWE's heels are their only likable characters. Turning a character heel is the best way to get the WWE crowd to care about them. It's amazing that 23 years after the explosion of Steve Austin, Vince still doesn't seem to understand how to present babyfaces that don't elicit resentment from the crowd. Fans don't want to cheer for plucky, smiley, "aw shucks" babyfaces. It's not 1986.

In fairness, haven't most legendary babyfaces started as heels?

In fairness, haven't most legendary babyfaces started as heels? Most of them, yes. Off the top of my head, I can only think of Steamboat, Tito Santana, and Sting who spent the majority of their careers as faces. There's a reason for that. I think most fans want to cheer for wrestlers with some level of badassery about them. John Cena is a perfect example: 1. Cena started off as a heel who was cocky and didn't give a fuck. 2. The fans then appreciated the fact that Cena was cocky and didn't give a fuck and began to cheer him on that basis. 3. Vince heard the cheers and put the babyface push into overdrive and transformed him from a cool babyface into a pandering, saccharine goody two-shoes. 4. Fans began to boo Cena in protest. Swap out Cena's name and replace it with Becky Lynch, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, 1996 Shawn Michaels and 2002 The Rock and you have multiple examples of Vince either being unwilling, or incapable of understanding how to appeal to his own fans. Vince is just tone-deaf.

Luke Harper has trademarked his independent wrestling name Brodie Lee.
I really can't wait until he's free from WWE. We talk about how they drop the ball on guys, but shit, the guys we reference (save for Mike Kanellis) at least get TV time. Harper got a 3-4 week return after a fucking YEAR and now they're back to not using him.
I guarantee they push him right before his contract is up. Hopefully he stays strong & bails. Whether it be for AEW, Impact, New Japan, wherever, he deserves a chance.

Personally, I'd like to see him go to Japan. Just completely escape the American wrestling scene and reinvent himself. He needs to raise his stock back up before going to another American promotion like AEW, otherwise it would look like AEW is just signing WWE cast-offs like TNA used to do. He has a stench on him that isn't any fault of his own, but he needs to spend his first few years of independence ridding himself of that WWE jobber stench.
