Damn, is Disney's Star Wars finally growing up?
This could be like their "Empire Strikes Back".

Damn, is Disney's Star Wars finally growing up? This could be like their "Empire Strikes Back". That last episode of Mandalorian was awesome. Coming full circle on the IG-11 and giving additional communication avenues for Grogu LOL Moff Gideon mocking Thrawn? Intriguing... Gideon hiding his base on Mandalore - chef kiss. Can't wait for last episode next week!

Finale of Mandalorian was just ok.
Seemed like the good guys won way too easily. And then Grogu got a name that didn't make sense.
Oh well. Maybe it sets up something interesting going forward.

Definitely a bit of a let down. Such a great villain and all that build up... and... yea. Was really hoping for our favorite Grand Admiral to show up and ESB the season.

I'm so far behind on star wars stuff, but i did watch the movies. I'll say this. Star Wars forgot how to make a great villain and provide the villain with a sound story arc.

They could do it with Thrawn. It should be a no brainer.
Hopefully they can handle it.

I'm all in on Ahsoka being basically Rebels season 5. First 2 episodes dropped and I enjoyed the hell out of it.

I watched the first 30 min last night and it felt like old school Star Wars. The live action casting has been spot on too. Lothal was perfect even. They really did make this feel like Rebels but with real people.

That Ahsoka end was pretty awesome.
Now Loki season 2 starts Thursday.

I don't think I fully understood the ending with Baylon and Shin. Felt like there was a lot more to be told on that part of the story. Also we never got to see Zeb in the series.

If you remember from Clone Wars and Rebels, the statues were the Mortis Gods. The Father, Daughter (hers had the head missing from her statue), and Son. That seems to be the greater power Baylon was looking for.
I imagine they have to recast him, which stinks because Ray Stevenson was great.

By the way, I was mostly joking about my Ahsoka review. All in all, it was good to fine. I don't know much about the animated series, so this was new to me. I'll say this much. They do seem to genuinely care about continuity and giving fans what they want. Which isn't easy considering they're making all of this shit up as they go.

Especially ones who aren't fully immersed in everything Star Wars. It's a difficult needle to thread. I enjoyed it overall. I did have some minor gripes (Sabine is basically just forgiven for releasing Thrawn and his army back into the galaxy), but for the most part it all worked. And it's tying into the other main Mandoverse and Filoni movie.

I would have liked a bit more clarity or exposition on that throughout the series. For those who have never seen Clone Wars or Rebels they must have been even more lost than I was. So Baylon becomes the Father, Shin the Daughter, and Sabine the Son? Or is Ashoka the Son because she brought balance back to the Force by redeeming Anakin?

I don't think Shin will be involved at all, since she basically went and found the Raiders at the end. She'll probably be their leader. It's gonna be interesting to see what happens. There's also supposedly a Mother as well, and Baylon might be looking for her grave or something.

This season of Loki was incredible. The way it tied everything from last season together was perfect. Loki finally got what he always wanted.

I watched the first episode, and I didn't hate it.
I enjoyed the Native American setting in Oklahoma, and seeing Zahn McLarnon and Grahme Greene again.
I'll see what happens going forward.

I loved episode 3.
The Dargula roller rink scene was awesome.
I gotta say, this is gonna have to really fall off a cliff in the last 2 episodes for me to not enjoy this series.

Watched The Marvels yesterday. I don't think calling it terrible really captures how awful it was. The only character who seemed interested was Monica Rambeau. Bad acting, bad writing, bad soundtrack, bad everything. Even Fury seemed bored everytime he was onscreen. Half the movie seemed to be a setup for the cat (not a cat but don't know how to spell what they are actually called) sight gag.

I wanted to like it, but yeah it was bad.
Like most Marvel movies lately, any heart and plot is sacrificed for action and CGI.
I was happy with the post credit scene.
Hopefully Ms. Marvel season 2 goes back to what made season 1 so enjoyable.

That is a great point. When the best part of the movie is the post credit scene, then you made a bad movie. That whole singing thing in the middle of it - wtf?!? Made zero sense.
