X-Men '97 has been fantastic. Watched first 2 episodes - love it. I don't know what I was expecting but the tone and feel is just like the old cartoon. Don't love Morph instead of Nightcrawler but I see why they did it. Making Magneto the babyface just to do the ultimate heel turn is going to be epic! |

I have 2 episodes left. I don't want this to end. I am just floored by how much they were able to incorporate into this season. Multiple villains, HellFire Club, Genosha, Jean Grey/ Madeline Prior, Shi'ra, its crazy.

The finale was great. A little underwhelming in the way it wrapped up, but set things in motion for next season very nicely.

Incredible. The amount of material they packed into 10 episodes of X-Men 97 was unreal. So many directions to go and just fun to watch. Loved the throwback music too. It was awesome.

Season 2 is already done supposedly. I think they changed director or showrunner so season 3 might be different. It'll be interesting though.

The setting being the High Republic era definitely helps.

The Acolyte finished up, and it was a perfectly average series. I imagine they're hoping for a season 2 to explore some of the stuff that was teased.
The pacing seemed really off though. Too many flashbacks and the finale was pretty rushed.
Nice and meh.

Just finished The Acolyte yesterday. I didn't get it at all. Was incredibly confusing and just went in circles. And lightsabers are whips now? LOL wtf. The only thing it accomplished is how Anakin came to be, but that could have been an email.

It was very thin in the plot area. That's why they did so many flashbacks.
The lightwhip didn't bother me, nor did the young Ki-Adi-Mundi showing up. I liked seeing the Jedi at the height of their power (and arrogance), and the beginnings of their downfall. I liked some of the fights in episodes 5 and 8. And I'm at least mildly interested in Darth Plagueis and how he ties in. Not sure I want these creators to be the ones to tackle that story, though.
The space witches being the ones who figured out how to create life from the Force bugged me, but maybe Plagueis ties in there somehow. The Yoda cameo made little sense.
I'm sure there's other things I didn't like, but in a series this average, I probably forgot about them.

Finished watching Agatha and thought this was by far the best Marvel TV series so far. The last episode was a bit slow but it tied things together and I think the writers did a tremendous job threading the episodes. Plus Agatha and Death making out was a nice bonus.
