I could see Jay White-EVIL final. So long as it's not EVIL winning. I don't think they'd do that to us at WK. Switchblade winning I certainly wouldn't be opposed to.

I could see Jay White-EVIL final. Ishii vs White is the main event for the final night of A Block. EVIL vs SANADA is the main for B Block I had thought Ospreay/Okada was the main event, but I absolutely see your picks happening more than mine now due to that match order. If it's EVIL vs Switchblade in the finals, that's like a Sophie's Choice for poor Gedo & Togo

Night 17 Jeff Cobb vs. Yujiro Takahashi After an early onslaught of forearms by Cobb, Yujiro opted for the catch me if you can route and suckered Cobb into chasing him outside. He dropped Cobb with a suplex & reverse DDT before teasing a countout spot. Cobb rolled in & Yujiro hit a few headbutts for 2 before he hits a Stroke for another 2 (shoutout Double J!). Cobb tries fighting back with a back elbow, but misses his follow up standing moonsault allowing Yujiro to hit a snap dropkick. They trade shoulder tackles & Cobb easily wins that exchange before slamming Yujiro with a release overhead belly to belly. Leaping corner uppercut & stalling back suplex connect for 2. Yujiro fights off a German, hits a Stun Gun & running boot in the ropes. Superkick to the gut & Fisherman’s Buster get a 2, but Cobb tries to get a gut wrench suplex, that Yujiro bites out of. Cobb hits a corner clothesline & spinning back suplex for a near fall, standing moonsault for another 2. They trade suplex counters before Yujiro throws the ref into Cobb & clubs him with his Pimp Cane & hits an Angle Slam. He hits Miami Shine 1…2…NO! Yujiro nails Pimp Juice and gets the 3! His first win of the tournament, Yujiro doesn’t get shut out. He would’ve had more wins had Pieter been with him, I’m sure.
Shingo Takagi vs. Minoru Suzuki Damn I wish this match actually had G1 implications. Shingo tried an early Pumping Bomber, but Suzuki caught him with an arm bar in the ropes before going outside & chucking Shingo into the railing. Slap battle ends when Suzuki pops Shingo with a forearm & screams at him, making Shingo start throwing headbutts, which Suzuki also wins. Back inside, Suzuki hits a running boot, tries a PK, tries for a guillotine, but Shingo turns it into a suplex. Running corner lariat & one in the center of the ring drop Suzuki, who Shingo wakes up with light kicks. Forearm battle starts and Suzuki loves every minute of it. Shingo still throwing them despite the bad arm, as Suzuki has a fucking smirk on his face this whole time! They do a crazy amount of counters, which ends in Suzuki applying the Rear Naked, looks for the Gotch, but Shingo counters into a DVD. Sliding D gets Shingo 2 as he’s really selling the arm, which I love. Pumping Bomber attempt, but he falls right into a cross arm breaker, then triangle. Shingo tries to powerbomb out, but his arm is too weak. DVD attempt again, but Suzuki counters into the Fujiwara armbar. Shingo gets the ropes as Suzuki locks on the Rear Naked Choke, but Shingo spins out & clubbed Suzuki with lariats, but Suzuki won’t go down, slapping the shit out of Shingo instead! Shingo hits some headbutts, but Suzuki does a misdirection spot and sinks in almost a Bulldog choke. Shingo gets out & starches Suzuki with a right hand, screams & hits Last of the Dragon for the 3! This match ruled, Suzuki is GOAT and Shingo’s selling was incredible. GIVE ME THIS MATCH AGAIN AT WRESTLEKINGDOM for the NEVER Openweight Title!
Kazuchika Okada vs. Will Ospreay I can’t believe this is on during the middle of the show. Ospreay explodes out the gate with a shotgun dropkick, Sasuke Special & Pip Pip Cheerio for 2. He went for Oscutter, but Okada blocked into Money Clip. Ospreay got a rope break, but Okada hit his draping DDT off the apron before heading back inside with a neckbreaker. That’s what Okada is targeting in this one as all his offense is neck based. Ospreay hit a back drop to get control briefly & a standing shooting star followed, but Okada recovers, hits a DDT, tries for an Air Raid Crash, but Ospreay recovers with a wheel kick for the reset. They trade counters of a bunch of moves before Ospreay sits Okada on the top & dropkicks him to the floor, a page out of Okada’s playbook. Ospreay sprints & clears the corner & post, wiping Okada out with a dive! He tosses Okada back in & hits a flying forearm to the back of the neck for 2. Ospreay tries Storm Breaker, but opts to just punt Okada in the head, which wakes him up as we get a forearm exchange. Wall walk by Ospreay, enzugiri, Okada misses his dropkick, Ospreay misses his standing shooting star, Okada tries his dropkick, but Ospreay counters into a powerbomb 1…2…NO! Fucking great sequence right there as we’re only 10 minutes in. Hook kicks fucking murder Okada as Ospreay calls for Hidden Blade, Okada ducks, Rainmaker blocked, Storm Breaker blocked, Okada hits a Rainmaker but not a lot was behind it as we get a double down. Okada hits his dropkick finally & hits a Tombstone before locking on Money Clip, but Ospreay got the ropes. Ospreay slapped the shit out of Okada & said “I’M JUST AS GOOD!” before Okada hits a shotgun dropkick. Ospreay avoided another Tombstone, as well as a spinning Rainmaker, countering into a standing Spanish Fly. They tease the backdrop into the pinning combo Okada won some early matches with for 2, Ospreay hits a Poison Rana and an Oscutter, but holds on, tries for Storm Breaker, Okada spins out, Money Clip. They trade Rainmaker attempts, Ospreay floats around for a Storm Breaker, but Okada avoids it & hits a Rainmaker!! Money Clip applied deep as BEA PRIESTLEY shows up ringside as Okada lets the hold go, hits a Tombstone, applies Money Clip again, but Bea takes the ref. Just then TOMOYUKI OKA (The Great O-Kharn) hits the ring, wearing a suit & lays out Okada with a Iron Claw slam. Ospreay slowly recovers, not knowing what happened as he hits Storm Breaker for the 3 count. The confused look turns to a smirk as Ospreay lays out Okada with Hidden Blade after the match. “FUCK YOU! YOU HELD ME BACK!” he screams as Ospreay is full heel now with Bea as his valet & Oka as his heater I guess. This was a phenomenal match and really great post match storyline they’re going with. If we get Okada/Ospreay again at WrestleKingdom, I’m all for it.
Kota Ibushi vs. Taichi (I know what happens in this match ahead of time, so I’m counting the kicks thrown, just know I didn’t randomly decide to count kicks for no reason) They circle each other for the first minute, then take turns kicking each other in the legs 16 times each before a brief stop. They then kick each other 8 times each before stopping. Big boots to the face are next as after each one hits, their opponent bounces off the ropes & connects with one of his own. This happens 23 times (Taichi got 12 Ibushi with 11) before we got a double down. We get a 5 minute call and 71 kicks have been thrown so far. They then literally take turns kicking each other in the back, sitting down & inviting their opponent to kick them after each one. This happens 2 times each as they switch to chest kicks. 7 kicks from Ibushi to 6 for Taichi before both crumble. This is surreal to watch. 3 chest kicks by Taichi are the most either man has gotten off in a row as Ibushi fell. BACKDROP DRIVER attempt, but Ibushi flips onto his feet as the crowd popped huge! Ibushi was almost insulted Taichi tried anything but a kick. Kicks to the legs turned to spin kicks to the chest as they take turns sending the other to a corner, charging, but eat boots (I’ll count it). Both hit Buzzsaw Kicks before face planting once again! That sequence was 9 kicks a piece. We’re at 109 KICKS thus far! Another series of leg kicks, this time both man is moving much slower. Taichi tears off his pants & that hilariously gives him a second wind in the kick battle. 15 more leg kicks by Taichi to Ibushi’s 12 as Taichi got a series of them, went for a home run shot, but Ibushi wiped him out for the reset. 136 kicks and counting! Ibushi looks for Kamigoye, but TAICHI WITH A BEAUTIFUL LEG SWEEP (not counting that as a kick) as Red Shoes puts a standing 10 count of both (dick move, Red Shoes) but they make it up at 8. We’re 15 minutes in as they are holding each other up to kick their opponent as it leads to Taichi getting in 12 more kicks to Ibushi’s 7, but Ibushi blocks a Buzzsaw & nails a fucking brutal leg kick. Buzzsaw Kick by Ibushi, who hits Kamigoye and gets the 3 count. This was one of the most incredible, fascinating, unique, amazing matches I’ve ever seen and (I could be off maybe one or two) they hit 157 KICKS TOTAL! Go out of your way to watch this match, I’m serious. I’ve never seen anything like this in all my life. Yota Tsuji literally has to piggy back Taichi to the back, as he’s unable to walk, while Ibushi makes it back on his own. As much as I loved Okada/Ospreay, we know how flashy those guys can be & we’ve seen that before, but this match was so different, I seriously can’t say enough positives about this.
Tomohiro Ishii vs. Jay White Switchblade did his early stalling with Gedo and I love how Ishii had zero fucking expression for this nonsense. For some dumb reason, White slapped Ishii, so in return, Ishii dropped him with a forearm to the floor. Gedo ran distraction & White quickly took over, wearing Ishii down in the early going. Ishii hit a snap powerslam & fucked his ankle up a bit as he shakes it off to throw a Violence Party to the back of White in the corner. Switchblade recovers with a DDT & Blade Buster for 2 as he zones in on the taped up knee of Ishii. He foolishly starts throwing forearms at Ishii, who no sells, so White wisely went right back to the leg, hitting a knee buster that crumbles Ishii. Flatliner & gut wrench German as White poses like a strong man before trying to wake up Ishii with paint brushes. Ishii drops White with a forearm, but runs right into a Uranage. Half suplex into the corner folds Ishii up as White Too Sweets the camera, but takes too long & Ishii Germans him into the corner. White avoids the superplex, dragon screwing Ishii in the ropes. On the apron, Ishii headbutt White down & finally got the stalling superplex for 2. White avoids Sliding D, eats a headbutt, but recovers enough to hit a few more dragon screws. TTO submission applied as they really teased this as the finish with Ishii screaming in pain & Red Shoes selling like he was about to call it. Ishii ultimately gets the ropes as Switchblade hits a sleeper suplex & Kiwi Krusher 1…2…NO! White wants his finish, but Ishii counters with an inverted leg whip & hits a leg trapped knee breaker, but he hit it on his bad knee, so he can’t capitalize. Ishii’s Revenge Tour begins for Switchblade fucking his leg up, so he’s out to do the same, as he chop blocks the leg & applies an ankle lock into a knee bar 20 minutes in. Gedo finally gets involved after White shoved Ishii into the ref. Ishii almost dropped Gedo with a brainbuster, but White cut him off, only for himself to collide with Gedo as Ishii hits a snap German & Sliding D for 1…2…KICK OUT! Again Gedo takes the ref, as White low blows Ishii out of a brainbsuter attempt, hits a Regal suplex 1…2…NO! White wants a straight jacket DDT, but Ishii headbutts out. White hits the sleeper suplex, ISHII NO SELLS the first, but not the second one. Series of reversals as Gedo for a third fucking time, shoves the ref down, but Ishii turns him inside out with a lariat, then one for White for good measure, only getting 2. Ishii gets feeling back in his bad leg & plants White with a vertical drop brainbuster 1…2…3!! Ishii eliminates Jay White! IBUSHI WINS A BLOCK!!
FINAL A Block Standings 14 Points – Kota Ibushi (A BLOCK WINNER) 12 Points – Jay White, Kazuchika Okada, Will Ospreay 8 Points – Jeff Cobb, Taichi, Shingo Takagi, Tomohiro Ishii 6 Points – Minoru Suzuki 2 Points – Yujiro Takahashi

Night 18 Toru Yano vs. YOSHI-HASHI YOSHI avoided being Yano’d and blocked a low blow with a cradle for the win. Yano did his usual antics with the tape & sanitizer. You know what happened. 6 minutes, harmless. Happy YOSHI ends with at least 2 wins in this.
Juice Robinson vs. Hirooki Goto Fast start by Juice, who really focused in on the taped up shoulder of Goto, which feels like it’s been taped since match 1 of this tournament. Juice avoided a Ushigoroshi, connecting with his superplex, but couldn’t follow up with the jackhammer & Goto hits a neckbreaker. Ushigoroshi connects as they go into a finishers attempt with Goto avoiding Pulp Friction & slapping on a sleeper deep. Goto nearly gets a few cradles, but gets popped with a Left Hand of God and FINALLY hit Pulp Friction after failing to hit it in so many matches, for the 3 count. Juice ends with 8 points and he continues to slowly put on stronger performances as the years go on. Goto is always Mr. Reliable in the G1.
Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Zack Sabre Jr Sabre needs like 47 things to happen for him to win B Block, so Tana’s mission here is solely to play spoiler. This was a solid back & forth counters aplenty match as they have great chemistry together, but wish they had more time. Sabre targeted the neck of Tana, locking in ever ZSJ submission you could think of before trying the Euro Clutch, only this time, Tana reversed, nearly winning. Tana took out the knee of Sabre using dragon screws, but Sabre leaped & got a guillotine, which Tana reversed into a cool Twist & Shout. Sling Blade blocked the first time, but ever persistent, Tana got the second try. Standing High Fly Flow connects, but Sabre rolls through, only for Tana to turn it into a cradle for the flash 3! Tana spoils Zack’s G1 and ZSJ throws a wild temper tantrum post match. This can’t be the last time we see this match, so I look forward to it happening again.
Tetsuya Naito vs. KENTA On any other night, I’d understand Naito stalling and playing mind games, but you have so much on the line in this match, why stall? They both did early and it immediately took me out of the urgency for Naito right out the gate. This was a slower paced match, which has been KENTA’s specialty, but slowly picked up as the match went on. KENTA whacked Naito with his briefcase after tossing the ref down & was in the driver seat after that. Barely anything happened the first TEN MINUTES before Naito connected with Combinacion Cabron, only for KENTA to hit his signature offense like the slingshot DDT & top rope clothesline. Naito hit a Poison Rana & Gloria for a near fall, tried for Destino, but KENTA wanted GTS, only for Naito to counter into Destino for the double down. Naito wanted a proper Destino, but KENTA clobbered him with back fists, only for Naito to answer with Valencia (which was brutal). Naito looks for Destino, but KENTA surprises him with a small package 1…2…3! Another flash pin loss, this one eliminating the IWGP champion from the G1. This was slow for the sake of slow, until the last 5-6 minutes picked up and were fun.
SANADA vs. EVIL Pretty fitting former tag team partners determine who wins B Block, I knew as soon as I saw the pairings that it had to come down to this. EVIL tries to Too Sweet Hiromu, who is on commentary, but Hiromu just gives a big thumbs up & cheesy smile. EVIL stalled early, rolled in & they both teased their finishers, as EVIL was sent outside & SANADA teased a dive, but EVIL bails. SANADA teased Paradise Lock, but Togo distracts him & EVIL sends him to the floor where he does usual EVIL chair based offense. Togo got involved again, sending SANADA into the railing as EVIL worked the leg back inside. SANADA hit a dropkick & back suplex, then wiped out EVIL with his plancha outside. Both EVIL & Togo were trapped in Paradise Locks, dropkicking them in the ass to free them. Back inside, EVIL got his ref assisted superkick to the gut to get out of TKO, tried his misdirection, but SANADA knew better & countered with a springboard dropkick. Ego Trip off the ropes & Tiger Suplex net SANADA 2 as he tries for a quick spinning Skull End, but misses the top rope moonsault for the reset. EVIL sends SANADA back first into the exposed buckle twice & hits a big back breaker to follow. Superplex (commentary screams Brainbuster) connects for EVIL, who sinks in the Scorpion Deathlock. SANADA made the ropes as EVIL connects with Darkness Falls for 1…2…NO! EVIL looks for his finisher, but SANADA counters into TKO! Long double down as they slowly rise & SANADA avoids eating the corner buckle again, moonsaults out of the corner into Skull End and after a struggle by EVIL, SANADA sank it in deep with the body scissors. EVIL was able to wiggle out, so SANADA hit a moonsault to the back, then a proper one 1…2…TOGO PULLS RED SHOES TO THE FLOOR! Togo grabs a chair & wipes SANADA out, beating him down in the ring. Togo & EVIL do a Magic Killer, which sets off Hiromu on commentary to hit the ring & take out Togo. EVIL hits a low blow on Hiromu and they hit a Magic Killer on him as well. I love how everyone is down; we get a 25 minute call from the ring announcer. EVIL woke up Red Shoes, but SANADA gets an inside cradle 1…2…NO! EVIL pops up and flattens SANADA with a lariat, winds up & hits another before signaling for the end. Everything Is…blocked, but EVIL again grabs the ref as Togo chokes SANADA with his wire! Hiromu recovers & superkicks Togo as SANADA sends EVIL colliding with him, SANADA gets a Japanese Clutch 1…2…3!! Sure there was a lot of interference at the end, but good triumphed, well, EVIL. I told you that win over Naito earlier in the tournament would come back to play an important role as EVIL, SANADA & Naito all end with 12 Points, but because SANADA defeated both Naito & EVIL, he has the tiebreak, therefore SANADA WINS B BLOCK!! Ibushi vs SANADA tomorrow.
Final B Block Standings 12 Points – Tetsuya Naito, EVIL, SANADA (B BLOCK WINNER) 10 Points – KENTA, Zack Sabre Jr. 8 Points – Hirooki Goto, Juice Robinson, Hiroshi Tanahashi 6 Points – Toru Yano 4 Points – YOSHI-HASHI

Does Ibushi win again? Or do we get SANADA vs. Naito? Very interesting to see where they go tomorrow. I fear for Ibushi/Naito (especially their necks). SANADA beat Naito in the tournament though, they could build off that for the Tokyo Dome. I'm going SANADA. Maybe SANADA turns and joins Ospreay & company?

I have to watch the finals tomorrow early afternoon and not in the morning like usual, so no spoilers in here tomorrow before my review if possible. Sorry if that sounds like a dick request, but I just don't want the finals spoiled. I'm 90 matches down and 1 to go.
Full review of the match will be posted when I get back from my dads house.
Thanks dudes

G1 CLIMAX FINAL Kota Ibushi vs. SANADA Masahiro Chono intros the finals as commentary questions whether Ibushi can go back to back G1 wins, the only other 2 able to do that were Hiroyoshi Tenzan and Chono himself. The left leg of Ibushi is heavily taped, which is no surprise. We’re in for the long haul with a very slow start as both counter wrestle on the mat, then turns to Ibushi working the left arm of SANADA. We get a striking battle that sees Ibushi crumble off a forearm, but he rises & throws some kicks to the chest. He’s throwing with his good leg & is doing them very methodically until SANADA fires off forearms to regain control 10 minutes in. SANADA finally goes after the bad leg & Ibushi shoots a death stare at him. SANADA went for his leapfrog dropkick, but Ibushi sort of went to duck it, as SANADA clipped him (his neck) with his arm on the way down as Ibushi rolled to the floor briefly. Ibushi gets back inside, but looks dazed (really hope he’s not concussed). Conveniently Ibushi slaps on a STF with Chono at ringside, but SANADA gets the ropes. SANADA boots Ibushi down in the corner & they trade forearms with both daring the other to hit them. Atomic drop to the knee & Figure Four applied as Ibushi got the ropes at the 15 minute mark. Ibushi fires off a brutal forearm, but SANADA hits an uppercut, charges & Ibushi gets a sunset flip for 2 and standing moonsault for 2. Plancha to the outside connects, but Ibushi is really slow to follow up, but does hit the springboard dropkick back inside for 2. This time SANADA hits his leapfrog dropkick perfectly & wipes out Ibushi outside with his plancha. Ibushi hit his head against the railing too as SANADA got the crowd going as he gets a 2 inside. Skull End moonsault missed, SANADA lands on his feet, charges & Ibushi hits a snap powerslam, goes for a twisting moonsault, misses, SANADA tries a moonsault, but lands on his feet again, standing hurricanrana sends Ibushi to the floor. He teases another dive, but Ibushi avoids it, he himself teases a Golden Triangle, but SANADA bails, tries to wipe out Ibushi’s legs with a Roman Reigns Drive By thingy he does on the apron (only time I’ll mention Roman in a G1 thread), but Ibushi jumps in the air & double stomps SANADA down. SANADA answers though with an Ego Trip off the apron, almost dropping Ibushi right on his head! They both beat the count at 18 (English commentary questions what happens if there was a double countout and I agree, stop counting Red Shoes!) and we get a forearm exchange on their knees as they slowly rise. SANADA takes out the leg & hits another quick Ego Trip for 2. TKO attempt changed into Skull End, but Ibushi gets out. SANADA does his Flair flip in the corner, tries a springboard dropkick, but Ibushi hits a powerbomb in mid air!!
25 minutes in already as this match is flying by with Ibushi firing off a combo of strikes & sitout powerbomb for 2. Ibushi is really struggling with his leg, which I’m sure is part selling, but mostly because it’s fucking killing him. He wants Kamigoye, but SANADA dropkicks his leg, charges, only to get turned inside out with an Ibushi lariat! Ibushi tries a home run lariat, but SANADA gets a Tiger Suplex 1…2…NO! TKO attempt, looks to fuck it up, but actually Ibushi held on & gets Skull End, which SANADA quickly reverses, spinning Ibushi around sinking in Skull End deep with the body scissors. As always, SANADA foolishly lets the hold go right as the referee drops the arm for 2 (VINTAGE SANADA!), tries for a moonsault & misses. 30 minute call, Ibushi hits a high kick, signals & hits the Bomaye 1…2…KICK OUT!! Ibushi screams, tries Kamigoye, but SANADA hits a pop up TKO 1…2…NO! SANADA hits a moonsault to the back, goes for a proper one, but IBUSHI GETS HIS KNEES UP!! In doing so, Ibushi sacrificed his own bad leg to avoid eating the moonsault. Either sacrifice the leg & continue fighting or eat the moonsault and lose the G1. SANADA does the moonsault out the corner into Skull End, Ibushi scales the ropes to reverse, tries for a Lawn Dart, but SANADA reverses into Skull End. Ibushi reverses once more & hits the BASTARD DRIVER 1…2…KICK OUT!! SANADA was literally inches away from being dropped on his head. Kamigoye avoided into a backslide for 2, another roll up for 2, Japanese Clutch how he beat EVIL 1…2…KICK OUT (Red Shoes fucked up there and it was 3, everyone knew it too, Ibushi didn’t kick out in time, but Red Shoes did what he had to do). SANADA with Skull End again, but Ibushi fights out with a high kick, V-Trigger, KAMIGOYE 1…2…KICK OUT!!! Holy shit, SANADA is the first person ever to kick out of Kamigoye! Instead of wasting time, Ibushi hits another Kamigoye flush 1…2…3!! IBUSHI WINS, HE’S THE G1 GOD!! This was a fantastic match and a great way to end arguably the best tournament of all time.
We now are on the road to Naito vs Ibushi in the Tokyo Dome and I pray for their necks, but really hope they go all the way with Ibushi and give him his first IWGP Heavyweight title. It’s time.
Post match, Masahiro Chono gets in the ring and presents Ibushi with the G1 trophy & flag as Ibushi was on the verge of tears. Ibushi thanked everyone & said he couldn’t wait for things to return to the way they used to be with full crowds. He said he will win the IWGP title and become God. Like last year, the G1 concludes with Kota Ibushi standing tall with streamers falling.

Here's the end of Okada/Ospreay, the return of Oka, the debut of Bea, the heel turn, post match promo, Ospreay leaving CHAOS, forming The Empire, everything.
Hoping Ospreay switches his style up now that he's heel. He doesn't need to do 85 flippy moves every match and can slow his shit down, add some years on his career. He's already adopted the Figure Four as a finisher, so that's a start.
