Friend of mine got a 10 minute Cameo from DDP. $100. That's the best deal ever.
I want to buy one for myself and have him tell stories about the 97 Bash against Savage.

Damian Priest was supposed to debut on Smackdown last Friday but the plan was nixed at the last minute according to Uncle Dave.
On Wednesday's Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that a decision was made last Thursday that Priest was to debut on the blue brand last Friday as Kevin Owens' best friend. He and Owens were then going to face WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Jey Uso on the show.
Owens, while willing to go through with the angle, didn't think that made sense as the two don't have anything in common that would back that up. Reigns agreed and the plan was scrapped even though Priest was there and ready.

Drew has Covid.
Rumble is on the 31st so he should be out of quarantine by then. This means he'll probably have the same stamina as Goldberg so it'll be even in that regard.
But seriously, I hope he gets well soon. That really sucks.

Rumor and innuendo says Linda is considering a run for President in 2024. I'd buy every possible share of real life if it were a media company.

WWE Backstage is back this weekend doing a preview special before the Rumble. Paige, Booker and even Renee are back.
They're going to reveal who will be 1 & 2 in the women's Rumble and also who 30 will be in the men's. For some stupid reason.
So much for surprises anymore. Vince trying to make sure literally nothing is special about my one time favorite PPV to watch each year.
I'll still be here Sunday because I'm a sucker for it, but the specialness of this show has been long gone.

There will still be some surprises, right?
But I get it. I've been doing the annual watch of 91-92-93 Rumbels and seeing Gorilla and Heenan/Piper speculate is great fun.

I'm going to guess we get some shitty returns or one offs like Eva Marie, some NXT gals and definitely Lana. Men's Rumble I have zero clue.

Hasn't the Rumble been pretty awesome in recent memory? I honestly don't remember. Last year was the Drew Rumbel. Everyone hated the first half with Brock until Drew eliminated him. I can't recall the one before that.

I remember not liking the Brock stuff as it happened, but changed my mind when I watched it again. Drew winning made sense. Loved the Edge return.
Rollins won the year prior and that's all I remember about it. Orton won the year before and I don't remember anything either. Nakamura won before that and he punched AJ in the dick at Mania
Aside from Becky winning the Rumble, I don't remember one memorable thing to happen in women's Rumbles. The first was special because it was the first, but it's moreso boring.

I'm going to let them off the hook for Rumble since the Daniel Bryan debacle.

You're absolutely right. I think 2008 was the last year I was wowed and entertained top to bottom by an entire Rumble. Taker & Shawn started. Piper, Foley, Snuka all getting MSG pops, Cena returning months before he should've to win.
Because I held the Rumble match itself so near & dear to me as a kid, it's tough to see it become just another show with maybe 1 or 2 things memorable happening instead of a bunch.

The 2005 Rumble with Vince's torn quads and the Batista/Cena restart was the last rumble where I was really invested.
2019 and 2020 weren't too bad though if I'm being honest. I dug both Seth and Drew winning their Rumbles.

Keith Lee and Mia Yim got Covid after the January 11th ep of RAW and were isolating together.
Mia was on RAW this past week, so I assume they're both in the clear, but no word on Lee yet. Hopefully they're both ok.

Yeah they have been for a while.
Also Mia posted today that she tested positive today I guess.
So I assume it's safe to say they're both a no go for the Rumbles?

I will say, Khan isn't completely wrong there. He's wrong in saying they haven't lost viewership...they most certainly have. But I do agree that wrestling in general was outdrawn by cable news in 2020.
