Yeah I assumed he was going in once they announced that documentary on the Network that's coming soon.
If that's the case, I bet Luger is another name going in soon. Unless Vince is still pissed Lex left for the first Nitro (or maybe the Miss Elizabeth stuff perhaps?).

20 year anniversary of Wrestlemania X-Seven today. Easily top to bottom my favorite Mania of all time.
I remember buying it on PPV when I was in 8th grade, taped it off PPV, still have it. Also have the DVD. The Mania I can always go back and watch beginning to end.
Regal vs Jericho - Fun, albeit quick little opener to get the crowd going
APA & Tazz vs RTC - Quick, whatever, Bradshaw got his Texas hometown pop
Raven vs Kane vs Show - Insanely fun hardcore match
Eddie vs Test - Pretty damn underrated match that was one of Tests best matches ever Benoit vs Angle - Fucking classic Chyna vs Ivory - whatever Shane vs Vince - Fun brawl that had some great culminations of storytelling with Trish & Linda
TLC 2 - An all time classic Gimmick Battle Royal - Awful in the best way possible, Heenan & Gene together again Taker vs HHH - They've had better matches, but it was fun for what it was Rock vs Austin - One of the greatest Mania main events of all time
Sure the company started going downhill after this and the Invasion tanked, but this was the pinnacle of the Attitude Era.
It's so damn great

I always thought WrestleMania 19 two years later was better than 17 top to bottom. To me, WM17 doesn't heat up until the Shane/Vince match. I know a lot of people love Angle/Benoit but I always felt it was kinda boring.
I do appreciate 17 though, but it's bittersweet to me.
In some ways, nothing was ever the same afterwards. WCW and ECW were gone. The Invasion angle happened shortly afterwards. I stopped watching week to week. The era of "throwing shit at the wall" is what would follow.

Hall of Fame is tomorrow on Peacock and apparently there’s no inductors this year (which I’m fine with) and each inductee gets 5 minutes and that’s it. Part of me thinks her & Carmella are going to be thrown into that multi woman tag match qualifier Night 1 for a shot at Nia & Shayna on Night 2. Who could possibly care about Naomi/Lana, Dana/Mandy, Nattie/Tamina or The Riott Squad getting a tag title shot at Mania? Give it to Bay-Mella and have them win the titles when Reginald turns on Nia to rejoin Mella. |
