The Union of People You Oughta Respect, Son (only in Vince Russo's illiterate brain does this equate to Up Yours).

I just watched the RAW where Vince was the Higher Power. Opening segment took like 35 minutes, it was so much talking. Anyways, it was the night Austin became co-owner of WWF and allowed the Union (minus Mick who was gone til Summerslam with a knee injury) to pick their own matches. The Union music was hilarious.
Shamrock picked a Lions Den Match with Vince. Jarrett hit Shamrock with a weapon before he entered the cage and tossed him in and Vince put an ankle lock on an unconscious Shamrock to win.
Test asked Stephanie for a date.
Show vs Taker for the title and that's when Show chokeslammed him through the ring to end the show.
We remember all the good stuff, but my goodness were we heavily drinking the Kool-Aid because there were some fucking dog shit back then.

The Attitude Era really hit a lull after WrestleMania 15 and didn't pick back up until late '99 when Russo left and Chris Kreski came in.
- March '98 thru March '99: Mostly fantastic - April '99 thru October '99: Mostly dogshit (quite literally in the case of The Rock slamming Bulldog onto a pile of feces) - November '99 thru August 2000: Some of the best wrestling TV ever produced - September 2000 thru December 2000: Creatively losing steam and less enjoyable, but still good overall - January 2001 thru April 2001: Mostly shitty, only saved by the awesomeness of The Rock and Austin
To this day, no one in WWE even acknowledges Chris Kreski, yet he was mostly responsible for the hottest 9 months in the history of the company.
