Even Flair regularly acknowledges Magnum was the next NWA Champion at Starrcade 1986.

Dude looked like Magnum P.I. and could GO in the ring. He was well before my fandom really started, so I didn't get the love until later. What's really crazy is he would have been forty in 1999.

As a childhood WWF fan, I feel especially cheated out of his (assumed) eventual jump to the Federation in 1989 or 1990.
As a face: Magnum vs. Mr. Perfect Magnum vs. DiBiase Magnum vs. Savage Magnum vs. Rude
As a heel: Magnum vs. Hogan Magnum vs. Warrior Magnum vs. Jake Magnum vs. Duggan
Either way, it works for me.

Same here. I didn't really get an education on Magnum until around 2006 when I got WWE Classics on Demand and binged watched like a whole year of Crocket World Championship Wrestling episodes from 85-86. That guy was special.

TA had everything. The size. The work. The mic work.
His accident was one of the first WTF moments for a young wrestling fan Peeps.
