Tomorrow late night and Monday late night the biggest show(s) of the year for New Japan Pro Wrestling takes place and I shall try my best to stay awake for both. This has become pretty fun to attempt to do over the past few years. These shows won't be as much of a marathon as previous years too. Here's the official cards.

I just can't shake the possibility that Moxley will pop up and either lay out KENTA on Night 1 or they'll finally have their match on Night 2. Or maybe he pops up at New Years Dash? I'd much rather him show up at Wrestle Kingdom. I'm also expecting something major to happen with Jay White and the Bullet Club. Here's my picks...

Night 2 Taguchi/Wato, Cobb, SANADA, Hiromu, Ibushi
I'm hoping Suzuki & Ishii advance from the battle royal to make it to Night 2. It's fucking insane that neither are on this show. I'll go with them, Yano & Nagata to advance, I guess.

Peeps do you know if we get the New Japan Rumble on World? I assume we won't get the Stardom dark matches Night 2. I've always enjoyed the chaos of the Rumble though. Hopefully we get it.

I think he would've been at the Brodie show in person had he been here. Instead we got the pre-tape from presumably a hotel. You have to believe he would've been in Jacksonville for Brodie's family and certainly would've been on stage for the 10 bell. I never saw him.
Renee also posted something on Twitter saying Jon wanted her to go on a hike, but I think that's a page out of the Jericho playbook of fucking with us marks on social media, throwing us off the scent.
I'd love for KENTA to beat Kojima, him trash talk Moxley, who pops up, hits a Death Rider, picks up the mic and says "see you tomorrow night, bitch" and we get their match FINALLY on Night 2.
Only thing that makes me doubt this is, they're promoting him for being on Dynamite Wednesday. Unless he does a pre-tape instead of live, you'd have to assume he'd need to quarantine again, right?

So I missed the battle royal (it was on at 1 not 2). It apparently went over 30 minutes and despite guys like Nagata, Suzuki, Ishii, Goto, etc, the Four Way we're getting tomorrow night is Chase Owens vs Bad Luck Fale vs BUSHI vs Yano
Yikes.

Really fun opener. The lack of crowd (and ability to chant and cheer) for this big of show is a LOT more noticeable than other shows.

Unless that's a swerve bro, it's looking like that might be it for Mox.
Still holding out hope though. Rocky trying to put it over like that promo was major. It really wasn't though

Kojima hung tough, but ultimately KENTA retains the briefcase via GTS in a hard hitting back & forth. Best Koji match in a long time.

We learned nothing new. Mox and KENTA will wrestle at some point, but we don't know where or when.

They briefly teased a clip saying "NJPW hits TV in America and the UK soon". Purple was the color in this teaser.

Tana chose not to use the chair because he's the baby-est of babyfaces and hit two High Fly Flows for the win. Thank goodness.
It's all thanks to Tana, but that was Great O-Khan's best showing.

20 minutes in, they're both doing their greatest hits but at a slower pace. Zero clue how long this is going. Won't be surprised if 30.
As I type this, they just did like 80 counters in a row with Ospreay cutting off an Okada dropkick with a mid air powerbomb.
