It was very clear in that super weird Cody promo on Dynamite that he either was not a fan of Punk or not a fan of the signing.

Tickets went on sale for Wrestlemania 8 and it sold over 5,000 tickets the first day. Selling that many tickets this far in advance, with no lineup announced (although one would assume Hogan vs. Flair will happen) is outstanding.

I thought the women’s match was better than the Scramble. Only thing that hurt it (which is a big thing) is the fans love Toni’s character, so they cheer for her despite being heel. That screws Deonna, who was already coming in with not much momentum as the challenger. And the distraction finish was one we saw already on the show.
And it came after that great tag match. It was screwed in a bunch of ways.
Toni should just be a babyface

I’m not saying there was a 5-star match on the card but boy does Dave love giving out 5-star+ matches to AEW like giving candy to kids on Halloween. At least he’s consistent with wwe so there’s some way to benchmark his thoughts.

Again, it’s one guys opinion, but WWE fans can’t (they will and have) shit on these as slightly over half of the matches he gave 4 stars or higher. 4 on his scale means really good to great.
I’m not surprised in the slightest Uso vs Uso was dead last by a wide margin. That match was fucking awful and the biggest letdown by far the entire weekend. I had such high hopes for them to put on a thriller and it was a massive whiff.
Luckily the one spot they had in the Night 2 main event pretty much made people forget Night 1.

I think the Usos match is one of the bigger letdowns in Mania history. There was so much backstory there, and we know that Jey and Jimmy are both good wrestlers. But man, what they laid out just did not work.
For me, it's right up there with Goldberg vs. Lesnar from WM20 and AJ Styles vs. Nakamura from WM34 as huge disappointments.

I was more into the action of Ospreay & Fletcher (if that’s what you’re referring to, it got 5 and was on Dynamite) I was obviously more into the overall storytelling of Cody/Roman. Even if I thought it could’ve gone 10 minutes shorter. That’s nitpicking as hell, even i know that, considering they build it for a year. That said, I still don’t know why Taker was involved. |

I've heard money is the reason Austin didn't make it. He has plenty. I've heard illness. Possible. I think Austin wants to be in a bigger spot. He's slick and a little petty. Rock is on the board now and Austin gets to be the final avenger and go away again? I joked about it in January. But there's a 1 or 2 year story with Austin and Rock going back and forth. When Rock goes away, you can still have Austin around when the Netflix deal starts.
It would have been cool as hell to see Cody and Austin drinking beers together as the big torch pass. But now you can build anticipation to when Austin finally arrives.
