Is this the case for ALL sports stations and talk shows, or just on The Score?

Do you mean the commercials for the radio shows themselves or the commercials run on the station?

Sorry, the commercials run on the station.

I think all radio commercials are bad - just inherent problem with the medium.

TV commercials have gotten drastically worse in recent years as well, but some of these radio spots make my ears bleed.

My least favorite is probably the Industrial Strip -- but don't tell Marge!

My least favorite is probably the Industrial Strip -- but don't tell Marge! Years ago, it seemed like every other commercial was for Heavenly Bodies.

Sorry, the commercials run on the station. Because no one understands the demographic. Do you put on local car ads? National accounts, like for beer? Or do you go for ambulance chasers and gentlemen clubs? The answer affects what kind of talent you get for the reads. Which is why WSCR runs so many ads with their local "voice" guy. Russ Matera, I think his name is...

Pretty sure my favorite sports radio commercial was during an NLDS game and had Ricky Horton telling the audience walking out on your family is just like a pitcher walking off the mound.
