Fish & Jungle Boy having a solid opener.
I can’t wait for Kyle to leave NXT and reform reDragon. Fish has been having good matches, but he’s a great tag guy. He & Kyle could have classics with FTR, Lucha Bros, Bucks, etc.

Jade squashes Santana Garrett, but had a good pull apart with Red Velvet to build their TBS title match. Sterling brought a cake for Jade to celebrate 1 year in AEW. You know what happened next. Velvet smushed the cake in Sterling’s face.
Jade looks like a million bucks, but she’s still so green that she’s super limited. She needs longer matches, but can’t because she’s supposed to be a monster & can’t give opponents too much. It’s a Catch-22.

Credit to the Minnesota crowd for being on fire the entire Dante vs Daivari match. Both dudes hometown and they were hot the whole match.
Real good stuff.

The main event lumberjack match is pretty much a way to get everyone not on the PPV involved in a brawl.
Ultimately it’s smart because that way you don’t risk injury to anyone on your PPV tomorrow.
But on the other hand, I just want this never ending HFO vs Best Friends feud to be over

HFO laid out all the babyfaces to end the show. Pretty lame ending for an otherwise good Rampage episode.

We’re actually getting Billy Ass & The Ass Boys vs Sting & Darby. Alright then. I guess if Gunn Club is going to finally lose, it’ll be to Sting & his nephew. Unless they put Gunnberg over Darby? No fucking way.
Billy Ass took 99% of that slow motion match. And kicked out of the first coffin drop before even 1, which I get they’re selling Darby’s bad ribs, but then he just hit another one for 3.

I will say this, it’s the best Jade has looked since her Shaq tag match
I’d go Jade vs Ruby in the finals with Ruby winning. I think Rosa gets screwed by Britt to build their title match.

Really fun main event
Cole bails on Fish to take the bullet again. Seeds continuing to be planted.
Slow first half, but main event was good stuff. Still remains the most watchable hour of pro wrestling.

Cole & Fish vs. Yuta & Orange was a solid opener, exactly what you'd think, Orange got his comedy in, but the crowd dug it. Yuta looked good, but ultimately Cole & Fish got the much needed win.
Riho upset Britt clean and earned a women's title shot soon, which is perfect filler before they can really sink their teeth into the Rosa/Britt feud.
Eddie Fucking Kingston vs. Daniel Garcia was one of the best matches I've seen on Rampage (and we've seen some fantastic matches on Rampage). This match was a striking/grappling clinic and Eddie sold his leg most of the match and he's a master at selling. I can't recommend this match enough. Strictly from a wrestling standpoint, I liked this more than the Punk/Eddie match. Obviously Punk/Eddie ruled more overall, but wrestling, this was fucking excellent.
Jericho made the save from 2point0 beating down Eddie post match and they cut off the part of Eddie telling Jericho he didn't need his help, so I expect that match coming down the line. Eddie needs to win a big match at some point against a huge name IMO

Hook debut was pretty damn good. Tazmission looked crisp.
He needs to put on some weight though. He was smaller than Fuego.
Hook will be a killer though.

Tag title match was great. Lucha Bros need a new team to face now and I assume it’s Jurassic Express.
FTR are presumably going to rematch Sting & Darby and get their win back, which they should. They can’t lose again.
Women’s tag was whatever, I’m so tired of the brass knucks spot for heel finishes.
Cole vs Yuta was a fun main event. I don’t think The Elite needed to lay out everyone so soon. Especially since Trent just returned (this was taped Wednesday, the same night he came back)

Lambert is back and I’m more than fine with that. Having him feud with Cody will presumably get Cody at least a little more cheers.

Submission Match was ok. But I’m so over the brass knucks in every single Bunny/Penelope/TayJay interaction. Just end this feud already.
Owen Hart Cup for men and women should be good stuff. I’m all for a tournament that can be spread out over multiple shows/months. Cool that Martha will present the cups to the winners at Double or Nothing. And from the graphic it looks like 16 men and 16 women maybe. I’d get international folks involved and free agents. Don’t just use all your current crop, you’ve literally just done that with the TBS Title.
