The crowd drowning out the music with the whoas is killing me.

What the hell. Everyone knows you don't play the piano version of the boss music until phase 3 of the fight.

Not sure anyone kicks out at the absolute last millisecond quite like Roman.

Jey has to somehow factor in to this ending and contribute to Roman losing.

Vince was never letting the AEW kid beat his super champ.

Haha. All the feel good from yesterday, all the build and the story, all the reasoning to not have Sami beat Roman in Montreal, for that.
Sometimes WWE can't get out of their own way.

That was the worst possible ending you could have had. Overbooked, sloppy, and just dumb. Vince and Trips just couldn't let Cody go over. Have Roman win it back tomorrow night, but the whole build up led to Cody having his moment. UFC deserves these turds.

And the crowd absolutely shit all over that finish and aftermath. Good for them.

"You can't put the belt on Sami. It'll ruin Cody's moment at Mania!"
Haha fuck you, losers.

For a second I wanted to say that Trips booked night one and Vince booked night two, but nah, Triple H is just this fucking stupid after all.

I don't watch the WWE but I don't understand what all the hullabaloo is about with Roman retaining. Cody can go in the ring but he's a fucking weirdo.
When it Reigns, I roar.

Hunter could've just put one of his kids on his lap like Dusty baker used to. Instead he hid behind a kid's dead mother.

So I have a different take on this. We wanted the feel good finish but this story on an incredibly long reigned champion wasn’t long enough. The fact I was pissed and disappointed initially that Roman won (and the way he did) proved to me just how invested they got me in a storyline and I don’t even watch regularly. It’s mostly YouTube, twitter and this board. This story shouldn’t have ended with a guy Heyman/Roman feuded with for just over two months. It either ends within the family, with Sami/KO or with a more long drawn out feud with Cody. The good guys don’t always win, and that applies to Mania as well. It’s part of the reason we watch. We don’t know who will win every time. Let’s also keep in mind that Cody got hurt last year (at Summerslam?). My guess is after that match they were going to start dropping hints, moments and some physicality between Cody and the Bloodline. They lost out on that when he got injured. What story did they lose because of that? This loss here might be just the beginning to Rhodes vs Reigns. Also that was a hell of a match. I look forward to those two going at it again.

I'm sure that's what it is. Summerslam is in Atlanta so I'm sure they'll have Cody win there.
It won't be the same though.
It won't have the attention that Mania had. It won't have the eyeballs Mania had. It won't have the cache Mania had.
There are moments. WWE missed it for the second time in a row.

I’m curious your thought before I counterpoint because I don’t agree with that.

To me, it's the chance to cement in front of the largest possible audience that THIS is now the guy. For the next 5 or 10 years, THIS is the guy you can count on.
You can't always recreate that moment later on.
In reality, though, you're probably right that it doesn't matter. At least to the core WWE audience.
