When’s the last time Orange Cassidy had a singles match with a proper build towards a ppv? This isn’t his fault, but it’s things like this that just don’t allow me as a fan to care or be invested in him. He’s not my cup of tea but I’m thinking it’s been a long time. Not enough ppv singles matches for one to care about a “top guy.”

They only have 5 PPVs a year, so I wouldn’t base being a fan or liking a guy due to the number of PPV matches. This isn’t WWE cranking them out once a month.
That said, he’s had about 25 title defenses now and it has been the most defended title in the company. And consistently entertaining. The storytelling surrounding his reign has been great because he’s been breaking down physically and resorting to more ways to survive and retain.
21 man battle royal title defense - Double or Nothing
Tag Title 4 Way - Revolution
10 Man Tag - Full Gear
All Out he was injured I believe
Match of the Night vs Ospreay - Forbidden Door
Those were the last years worth of Cassidy PPV matches

I know I am on an island on this one, but this card does nothing for me. I don't have the same interest in all the NJPW guys and having this sandwiched between the other big events of the AEW year all the builds have felt very rushed and "meh". I hope you all enjoy but I won't be watching this one. I'll read the PxP here from KS as he gets drunker and angrier with BRB as the night goes on lol

This sucks. I wanted Filthy to be part of this show. Also the second Forbidden Door in a row to bite Cole I’m kind of worried about Adam Cole. He doesn’t seem right. |

I'm not super interested in the show tonight outside of the Omega-Ospreay match, but I'll be paying attention. I'm sure the matches will be amazing.

I think this might just be a bug. Not an injury. They’ve seemed to protect Cole pretty well health wise since coming back from injury. He’s taken a few bigger bumps, but it’s been protected.
If this winds up being concussion related (not sure how it would since he hasnt wrestled for a few weeks, so they’d know about issues if that was the case)
Honestly just add this match to Dynamite or Collision. Still go through with it, just when Cole gets the clear

I mean if he’s injured, then why make this match at all? I think it’s either Covid or just a bug. This isn’t a card making match, so better to play it safe in that regard.
I also appreciate them telling fans it’s off, instead of opting for the WWE way of announcing matches and just not having them at all. Vince 101 for RAWs a lot of the time.
