Punk isn't a company man. He wants to think of himself as one, but he's too emotional to be one. He couldn't let things be after the way the company and the Observer people fucked him over the past year. It's unfortunate.
Oh well. AEW lost its largest star, and now they'll have to live with it.

It was a promo from last year before Punk won the title back from him after his first injury. Mox was close to being on the money though, wrestling promo or not.
Mox had to pick up the company after the last Brawl Out. Dude will never get a vacation now. Renee must be pissed. As a result, I’m sure RJ is thrilled though.

Then you have Punk shit not just on your company and employees at the All Out presser last year, but also made your owner look like a punk (no pun intended) in the process. This is something I keep forgetting about and made me think it was a work at the time. I don't care how many entitled people were in the back or how much you disagreed with the way Tony was handling it. You don't do your boss like that, especially one that is providing that type of platform for you. That's not what a leader would do. |

They threw all the big guns at the All In card in England. I hope they haven't killed their best U.S. market in the process. - Luchasaurus (c) vs. Darby Allin (AEW TNT Title) - Miro vs. Powerhouse Hobbs - Kris Statlander (c) vs. Ruby Soho (AEW TBS Title) - Orange Cassidy (c) vs. Jon Moxley (AEW International Title) - Kenny Omega vs. Konosuke Takeshita - Bullet Club Gold vs. FTR & The Young Bucks - MJF & Adam Cole (c) vs. Alex Reynolds & John Silver (ROH Tag Team Titles) - Samoa Joe (c) vs. Shane Taylor (ROH Television Title) - Eddie Kingston & Katsuyori Shibata vs. Claudio Castignoli & Wheeler Yuta I'm sure we'll still enjoy the show but I'd be lying if I said I was terribly excited. Aside from the other stuff, this card is refreshing in just how many 1 on 1 matchups there are. That's pretty unusual for AEW and something I've been wanting to see more of for the longest time. |

I mean Miro/Hobbs & Joe/Taylor are big beefy men slapping the shit out of each other. I was involved in quite a bit of that when I used to live in Joliet.
Shit vs Omega is a potential 5 star match. Danielson/Starks has like a 4 at least written all over it.
Lucha/Darby is a load of fun and maybe some Christian/Sting involvement.
Juice Robinson will steal the show in the 8 man. Dude is a selling machine & hilarious. Bucks/FTR dynamic will be great.
MJF/Cole is must see tv and it's fn GREAT to see Dark Order finally get a chance.
Kingston/Claudio and them will be a bunch of meat flapping as well.
Shit, I just might order this now.

Would you guys still be in Punk's corner if he was from, say, San Diego? I don't understand the defense. Yes he's far more entertaining than just about everyone he has real life feuded with but that list has grown to like 20-30 or more. He's always the common denominator when it comes to problems.

I’m probably All Out at this point.
I’m not here to defend Punk’s behavior. I’ve said this multiple times, but Tony is not a people leader. I didn’t say he was a bad guy. I didn’t say he is bad at everything. He seems like a nice guy. He seems desperate to be liked. I do believe he’s an atrocious leader of people and I wouldn’t hire him to manage a team of people in any company. Luckily for him, he was born far ahead of all of us in the corporate world. That’s how he fell into management.
I applaud him for making a tough decision. I think it’s the wrong one but I don’t have all the information. I’d love to know who is on the AEW Discipline Committee or whatever it’s called. He has at least shown there must be accountability for actions with people who aren’t Elite.
Overall bad deal. Tony is a terrible people leader. And I’m All Out. Removed Collision from DVR.

Wooodrige, I’m genuinely curious what wrestling you have left on your DVR?
For me it’s Dynamite, Collision, Rampage and Smackdown. I’ve removed RAW and NXT. And Smackdown I only fast forward through if something “big” happened. I usually just find out via clips on Twitter.

I was entertaining guests all day yesterday so I didn't see the news until late and after several beers. Glad Tony finally shat and got off the pot and I think he made a horrendous decision, but at least he made one. I'll have more thoughts once I watch the clip of his announcement.

I think Mox & Orange should close. Lots of folks (myself included) think Mox wins, but if you want to have Orange win, I wouldn’t hate that. It’d be a pretty nice surprise and keep this streak going.
