Kind of describes how I feel about much of AEW to be honest.
Sunday's show will have some good matches I'm sure. But the vibe around the company sucks. And it's all the fault of management and the EVPs! (Kidding. They're only mostly to blame.)

Honestly the only interesting match to me right now is Hobbs/Miro. The rest is just a Dynamite card.

What's the main event of the show?
Miro and Hobbs? Miro has barely been on TV in a year.
The ROH Tag title match? You can't have (REDACTED) in the main event.
Is it the 8 man match? Maybe. Maybe you turn the Bucks heel and join Bullet Club again. But without Punk, you dint have the tease of that finally money showdown with the Bucks.
They just continually fuck themselves over. It's frustrating.

Fuck it, it’s not like it’s a massive spoiler. Silver & Reynolds won and will face Cole & MJF. It’s a nothing match on the PPV and while it sucks it’s not a team like The Kingdom (which would make sense storyline wise), leads me to believe that match is coming potentially later. This is simply to get Cole & MJF a title defense.

Supposedly Punk & Starks was going to main event, but since someone had another pissy fit and won’t be on the show, I’d go with Cassidy & Moxley as your main.
While Omega & Takeshita will be great, I don’t know if that’s main event of a PPV ready just yet.
With Cassidy & Mox, it’s been built up, you have Cassidy having his 33rd title defense (think of that, this reign has been really something) and they can have a great main event with Moxley winning the title. Not only uncrowning Orange, but puts the International Title at a higher level too. You could make Orange a main event level guy and put him in the Eliminator tournament stemming from this too

Fuck you Tony. You absolutely can comment on it. How much of an "investigation" is necessary? This is what I mean by him not holding himself accountable. Is he suspended - yes or no? If not why is he not on your PPV in his hometown where he is the biggest draw for your company? Please elaborate.

You don't need a lawyer to tell your talent to stop being morons. You don't need a lawyer to squelch rumors that are being put out there by your EVPs and their circle jerks. He can be accountable on all of those things without legal advice. |

I think maybe because there was a precedent after the first backstage fight (which feels silly to even type a year removed from the first, but here we are), so since that took time to “investigate” he can’t just say yup they’re suspended. I mean he could, but it took a while the first time. Might as well give the impression there’s an investigation, even though by all accounts it happened backstage in front of a lot of people and not in a locker room with guys throwing chairs, punches and biting people

They threw all the big guns at the All In card in England. I hope they haven't killed their best U.S. market in the process.

The good news is they usually deliver. Maybe you get some surprises to make up for the seemingly lackluster matches.
But yeah on its surface, the card is barely a glorified Dynamite.

It’s a week weekend for wrestling shows for sure. There’s a WWE PPV tonight and it’s a slightly beefed up RAW. So WWE fans can’t complain about how their show is better and vice versa in this case.
As for tomorrows show, there’s no way you won’t have a good time. You’ve been to AEW before and they’ve delivered. It might not deliver on the scale it has in the past, but I expect some big things to happen.
The next show for them is Wrestle Dream, so maybe they’ll have some surprises for that? I’m not saying they will (so don’t hate me if they don’t), but they could.

Tony should’ve handled everything better sure, he should’ve nipped it in the bud with the Hangman comment. Then you have Punk shit not just on your company and employees at the All Out presser last year, but also made your owner look like a punk (no pun intended) in the process. Something Tony should’ve interrupted and spoke up, he didn’t and he was wrong for that.
Ever since that outburst from Punk last year, he’s rubbed me the wrong way. How are you a company man if you’re acting like that? Is your ego that fragile? Also there’s no need for “real life shots” taken by guys either, so the Perry, Page comments are unwarranted as well.
It just seems like Punk wasn’t into this. Not necessarily from the jump, but for a while. Tony letting him also go backstage at WWe is fucking wild to me. If Punk was a company man, he would’ve handled situations better as a veteran of the business and the young guys should’ve shut the fuck up also.
Wouldn’t be surprised if Punk goes back to WWE, as there’s not much left for him. It will make him look like a bitch though after everything they put him and his wife through the last 10 years. But hey, money is money I guess.
