Kamala also had a Price Gouging proposal. Biden actually walked picket lines with workers. R's want to do away with the Affordable Care Act which would negatively affect 50 million American workers. Dems already had a bill out there to address price gouging by oil campanies which the R's voted down. Kamala had a plan to help first time home buyers. Democrats and the Biden administration ignored the border for 2 years. Anyone who mentioned it was a racist. Could've taken care of it then. But they didn't. Our economy is fine for upper middle class and better people. For average American, it's bad. Theyre paying more for things while making less at work. Will Trump make it better? Probably not. But the incumbent (administration) takes that hit. Focusing solely on abortion was a losing message. Low information politicians are worse than low information voters. The bolded part of your statement is why low information voters are dangerous. They just voted for someone who will make the problems worse for them. You think. You think it'll be worse for them. People know what is happening with the current people in charge. They know what prices were when the other guy was in charge. If prices drop in the next 4 years, and I will allow for that possibility, who will really end up being the low information voter? |

Our economy is literally #1 in the world right now. The price of things is due to corporate price gouging across the globe since Covid. Not anything the Dems did. I do think abortion messaging could've been a bit better. Something like a total abortion ban allows a rapist to choose the mother of his child. I also would like someone to bring up that abortion shouldn't be a form of birth control. I'm 100% in favor of a woman's right to her own reproductive health but would love for someone to stress/educate the part about how it shouldn't be a form of birth control. I'm not sure there's a low information politician. It's called lying in their case. And that should be expected. So I still place more of the onus on the low information voter. Cool. I'm sure continuing to tell people they're stupid will work out. |

Because you're smart enough to understand that these things happen on a delay. Obviously Trump inherited a stable economy from Obama, which is what people misremember. I mean he told us all to inject bleach, most analysis say he was directly responsible for at least 500,000 American deaths. He incited an Insurrection where police officers died. Stood by for hours as the mob was ready to execute his Vice President. Was anything other than a peaceful transfer of power. Cozied up to the likes of Putin and Yao Ming or whatever that dude was called that he wrote love letters to. Hated our Nato allies. (And again wants to pull us out of NATO for that matter) Left with a MASSIVE deficit. Killed Ruth Bader and appointed judges who later overturned Roe. (And will go after LGBTQ, interracial, same sex. contraception, medicare, social security, etc...) next. Also served cold McDonalds to World Champions on more than one occasion. |

I think the biggest takeaway for the Democrats is that they can never run a ticket with anything other than a straight white male at the top. There will never be another Obama or anything close. And as much as it pains me to say it, I can't imagine that there will ever be a female President in this country. I completely agree with all of this. |

I don't think this election or the MAGA movement has anything to do with policies. It's a hate cult. The whole premise is racism, white supremacy, misogyny, bigotry, and all the other 'isms. If you're not a white male (or a white female that falls in line (or the occasional Sage Steele idiot) you're the enemy. It's really that simple.

Plus, like Stewart said in the clip, knee-jerk reactions in the immediate aftermath of elections have almost always been wildly inaccurate.
