The idea here is based on when you watched wrestling, are there any wrestlers that somehow you just don't remember watching all that much even though you absolutely should have? Or maybe there's a somewhat fairly known wrestler that you missed along your wrestling viewing journey because you "weren't watching at the time." For me, that wrestler is Ahmed Johnson. I feel like I missed nearly his entire WWF run and I didn't even realize he was the other half of that Harlem Heat 2000 tag team. My guess is with a 3-hour Nitro and not watching Thunder, that could have been easy to miss. Seems like he had some opportunties in WWF to take the ball and run (including an intercontinental championship), but I can't tell you one match of his I remember watching at all.
Who's your guy?

Great topic
I’d say you missed Ahmed because he was almost always injured after his first like 8 months in WWF. After like July of 96, dude had a crazy amount of injuries all the way up to when he left around February of 98. Then popped back up in WCW, but looked nothing like the old Ahmed as he was like 400 pounds (and also feuded with Booker over the letter T, not kidding, that’s what booking came up with).
Anyways, this is tough for me since my mind if a fucking steel trap of wrestling bullshit, but I’m going Barry Windham
I wasn’t alive for the US Express, I was 2 for his NWA run with Flair/Horsemen, I didn’t start watching WCW consistently until 94ish and by that time he was about gone. So I really only knew The Stalker and Blackjack Windham. I’d say the most I remembered of Windham growing up was the West Texas Rednecks run in 99 and by that time, his career was almost over.
Wasn’t until years later I could go back and appreciate his work, in which I missed a lot of growing up.

Good topic indeed.
There are probably several, but mine is Shane Douglas. I remember him in the WWF in 1990-91, then he disappeared after the '91 Rumble. I didn't watch much WCW in '92 or '93, so I missed his entire run with Steamboat. I didn't watch the WWF in '95, so I missed the Dean Douglas era. And I didn't watch ECW at any point before 2000, so I saw none of his ECW stuff. The only times I ever watched Shane Douglas in real time was the aforementioned 90-91 WWF run and his WCW return in the fall of 1999. The Apter mags were the only reason I even knew about ECW for a long time.

First, it's crazy Ahmed Johnson was the first post. I just saw a thing about his feud with Goldust. Goldust was supposed to kiss him on the stretcher with his hand over his mouth. Dustin didn't do the hand part, so Ahmed was going to shoot murder him. The bright side was he got the IC title out of the deal. But the night he won it, someone carved the N word into his car. I looked at the guys wrestling that night to figure out who it could be. Sadly, I could only eliminate about 2 people.
Don Muraco is mine. He was a big deal but they kept him off the first Mania for a house show run with Hogan. The rest of his big show appearances were meh. So I didn't realize the impact he had until later.
